Role Name : SharePoint Developer Client & End Client : Will let you know Location : Tampa FL Job Description: Should be able to demonstrate SharePoint online experience with a good handle on SPFx development.Very Good understanding Typescript and React JS is mandatory for this role.Should know how to develop a custom spfx webpart, debug, deploy at site collection level / Tenant level, versionioning the package, bundling features into a package.Should have an understanding of SharePoint search api and should be able to articulate how to enhance the search experience for the modern sites. Should have configured pnp search web parts, should understand how to add refiners, know what are crawled properties and managed properties, how to promote a column to be made visible under search.Should know when to use CSOM, Graph and pnp jsShould have knowledge of using PnP powershell.Should have knowledge on Fabric UI controlsScenario -Assume a Azure SQL table. A spfx webpart should be developed which can connect to the SQL table. The users should be able to perform search for records, edit a fetched record and save it back to the table. if the candidate can have a sample developed prior to the interview on their personal tenant and walkthrough their sample, explain the way it was developed, how it is packaged - will be selected based on the knowledge they show around articulating the work done. There are other ways to achieve this, but we want to assess the candidate's skill only in spfx and react - hence we would not want to discuss how this can be achieved with other solutions. Something to think about when organizing your work on SharePoint. More than 3 levels of folders shouldn't be necessary, if any at all (read: check out Metadata - especially useful when using Copilot). Perhaps start leveraging all the other goodies that SharePoint brings, instead of storing stuff in folders. 😉💡

SharePoint tip of the day! -If SharePoint can't do it a custom webpart can. I'm working on some complex data at the moment. To keep the whole production for the client under the Microsoft 365 umbrella I have built two custom Webparts to handle the high powered operations that PowerAutomate had limitations in. There were other avenues that I would have taken for larger clients or different operations but for the BAU of this client this solution is perfect! I'm taking advantage of writing custom typescript to design add-ons that remove the Microsoft limitations. The only cons are that if something needs updating a developer will need to get involved with the raw code, however nearly every web Dev is across this common language so the inconvenience is very small - a low risk endeavour. The custom webpart is modular, this means that if it did break, it would not effect your SharePoint instance! Super cool, ask me more if your curious!
