I’m looking forward to facilitating this discussion with this incredible panel of women leaders! Not only is child care a significant part of our work at Transform Consulting Group, but it’s also very personal to me. As a parent I’ve experienced the challenges of finding child care and how disruptive it can be for working families. As an employer of a growing firm, I also see how important child care is to recruit and retain talent! What are some key questions you want answered about this topic that I should ask the panel? #childcareisinfrastructure #transformingcommunities #transformingsystems

Women are more driven to success than ever and continue to break through barriers, but policies and programs that support advancing work and life—paid family and medical leave, flexible work schedules, and affordable childcare—have not kept pace with their ambitions. This support is critical to women’s economic security as they continue to disproportionately bear caregiving responsibilities. Glaring disparities in access to these benefits still exist for women, workers of color, and low-wage workers in the U.S. and globally. Our expert panel will discuss the critical importance of support for workers, its impact on women in the workforce, and strategies to advance women’s economic well-being. On this World Population Day, we reflect on the theme "Interwoven lives, threads of hope" and the progress made over the past 30 years. While significant strides have been achieved, there is still much work to be done 📢 Although population issues affect everyone, data shows that women are often the ones left behind. Population isn't just a "HER" issue, but it disproportionately impacts women. At doctHERs, we understand that our lives are interwoven, making this an issue that impacts us all. That’s why in all our efforts, we ensure that both mothers and fathers are educated on family planning. By empowering both men and women with knowledge and resources, we can build a future where everyone has equal opportunities and access to healthcare. Together, we can create a world where no one is left behind, and every life is valued 💖 #doctHERs #NayaJeevan #WorldPopulationDay #InterwovenLives #ThreadsOfHope #ReproductiveRights #ReproductiveHealth

It's evident that caregiving for the elderly is both emotionally taxing and undervalued in our society. The statistics indeed highlight the increasing need for elder care professionals, yet the recognition and support for this vital role are lacking. The article insights below shed light on the challenges caregivers face and the importance of acknowledging their skills and dedication. Integrating caregiving experience into employment criteria could certainly help in recognizing the valuable qualities and experiences these individuals bring to the table. Caregiving experience can provide a unique set of skills and qualities that are often overlooked. It encompasses a range of responsibilities that require empathy, organization, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities, among others. Recognizing and valuing these skills in the hiring process can lead to a more comprehensive understanding of a candidate's capabilities and potential contributions to the workforce. Ask the question.
Women are feeling the pressure of an aging population and are answering the call. As we continue to grow older at a rapid pace, the importance of women in caregiver roles will continue to increase. https://lnkd.in/eEgPdi8t

There are unique challenges faced by women of the "sandwich generation" – those who are both mothers and caregivers to aging relatives. These women often put themselves last, prioritizing the needs of everyone around them. 🚩 There’s a huge opportunity for companies to help women do it all, but also do it all for themselves, so they have the life span and the health span that they deserve. 📊 The statistics are staggering: caregivers live 4-8 years less than non-caregivers and are more likely to suffer from chronic diseases and obesity due to neglecting their own health. These eye-opening insights were shared by Marni Allen from Bioniq at the Decoding the Future of Women conference in London this June. These words deeply resonate with our mission at Strawberry Health. We are committed to empowering women with the tools they need to care for their loved ones while also prioritizing their own well-being. 🌱 #womenshealth #caregivers #empowerment #strawberryhealth #decodingconference #femtech
