U.S. Chamber of Commerce reposted this
🇺🇸🇫🇷 On Wednesday, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of sponsoring a pre-AI Summit event at the French Ambassador’s Residence. Merci beaucoup to the Embassy of France in the United States and Ambassador Laurent Bili for hosting us for an evening of insightful dialogue on U.S.-French cooperation. Marjorie Chorlins delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing industry's shared commitment to fostering innovation, trust, and global competitiveness in AI governance. This event follows our joint U.S. industry stakeholder session with the French government at the Chamber two weeks ago, where we focused on: 👉 Implementation and Delivery: Turning global AI commitments into real-world action. 👉 Inclusivity: Engaging AI developers and deployers for practical policies. 👉 Continuity: Building on past efforts to align frameworks. Next week, the Chamber will take a delegation to Paris for the AI Action Summit, with the Vice President leading the U.S. delegation. We’re excited to engage in high-level meetings with global leaders. #AI #Innovation #AIActionSummit
Last night at the French Ambassador's Residence, the past met the future as an AI avatar of the Marquis de Lafayette joined the conversation on the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence. Yes, you read that right. Ahead of France's #AIActionWeek, we gathered industry leaders, researchers, and visionaries to explore how AI is reshaping our world—from revolutionizing healthcare and education to redefining creativity and civic engagement. With the AI Action Summit on the horizon, France remains committed to fostering innovation that serves the public good while upholding our shared values. What better way to celebrate the enduring French-American bond—past triumphs and future possibilities alike—than by reconnecting with a figure who was there at the very Genesis of the relationship? Thanks to the expertise of Jumbo Mania, we brought the Marquis de Lafayette to life as an AI avatar, capable of discussing history, current events, and technology in both French and English. We extend a special thank you to Jumbo Mana, the Fondation Josée et René de Chambrun, Jus Mundi and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and to speakers Vincent Bouat-Ferlier, Jean-Rémi de Maistre and Marjorie Chorlins.
