Get out! - Valentini & Valentini [2024] FedCFamC1F 602 (11 September 2024) 📄The facts * 38 year rel, no kids under 18 * Net pool: at least $200m 💰 * During COVID 😷, W found herself stuck in alternate accommodation (mouldy and without heating) * Orders made for the parties to share the FMH (H to live downstairs, W to live upstairs) * W: aged 58, health issues. She brings an App for exclusive occupation of the FMH * H: aged 70, opposed 📑 The submissions * W: We can’t communicate, I need my treatment providers nearby and he keeps coming into my space! * H: Her health isn’t that bad, the house is big enough for both of us and I’m so busy with work I don’t have time to find another place! 🔍 The evidence * The doctor 👩⚕️: W’s symptoms improve when in the home because she is closer to her doctors and support circle 👨⚖️ The Court found * Things don’t need to be “intolerable” or “impossible” * Court needs to be satisfied that “it would not be reasonable or sensible or practicable” for parties to continue living together * Need to consider; means and needs, availability and suitability of alternate accommodation, welfare of any kids and whether hardship will be caused to the party who gets the boot 🥾 * Despite Orders made for these people to share a place, they've proven they can’t 🤷♀️ * H is in the home less than the W * On the issue of the H being time poor: H’s evidence identifies alternate homes for the W, no doubt they are suitable for him too 😏 and he can afford to move 💵 * W’s treatment and health should not be compromised 👩⚖️ The outcome * H ordered to get out within 10 days 😲 with 30 days to remove his stuff! 💡 Food for thought How much did the parties each spend fighting to stay there? Probably enough to cover the bond and a years’ rent! 😐 #familylaw #familylawyer #exclusiveoccupancy

"Creative health is a way of thinking and working which recognises that culture, heritage and creativity – including art, craft, music, film, dance and drama – can improve our mental and physical health. These activities also enrich the environments in which we are born, grow, live, work and age, helping to reduce health inequalities. With cuts to health and local authority budgets and an overstretched workforce, it is vital that creative health fulfils its full potential in London and beyond. For this to be realised, we need to understand creative health in greater depth." https://lnkd.in/eF773ANC

Understanding Injuries in Camogie & How an S&C Coach Can Help 🏐💪 Camogie is a physically demanding sport with intense movements, contact, and high-speed sprints, making players prone to injuries. Research shows that 88.2% of camogie players report at least one injury during the season, with common injuries including ankle sprains, hamstring strains, and upper body fractures .Common Injuries in Camogie: Lower Limb Injuries: Sprains and strains, particularly in the knee, ankle, and calf. Hamstring Strains: A result of rapid acceleration and deceleration. Upper Body Injuries: Fractures and dislocations in hands, fingers, and wrists due to the contact nature of the sport. How a Strength & Conditioning Coach Can Help As an S&C Coach, I help camogie players reduce their injury risk and enhance performance through tailored training programs that focus on: ✅ Injury Prevention: Strengthening key muscle groups such as the hips, core, and legs to protect vulnerable areas like the knee and ankle. Focused exercises improve mobility, stability, and muscular strength, lowering the risk of common injuries. ✅ Movement Efficiency: Through sport-specific drills, I enhance balance, speed, and agility, which are essential for making explosive movements safely and effectively. ✅ Recovery: Structured recovery plans improve muscular endurance and resilience, allowing you to recover faster between games and avoid overuse injuries. Why Work with an S&C Coach? As a Strength and Conditioning Coach, I specialize in personalized training for camogie players. Whether you want to prevent injuries, boost performance, or improve recovery, I can create a program that’s right for you. 📩 Ready to stay injury-free and elevate your camogie game? Contact me for both in-person and online coaching sessions! #Camogie #StrengthAndConditioning #InjuryPrevention #AthleteCare #SportsPerformance #SportsScience #FieldSports #Coaching #SportsInjury By working with an S&C coach, you not only reduce your risk of injury but also enhance your performance on the field and build the strength and resilience to sustain your career long-term.

Another great report reminding us what we've known for millennia but recently forgotten. Reducing levels of inactivity (which is subtly but importantly different) is central to a whole host of physical, mental and social improvements. So whether you're focusing on your health, wellbeing, happiness or opportunities for wider social circles, reducing inactivity and increasing physical activity (especially with friends) is probably the most effective thing you can do and/or promote.
Today's #SocialValueReport24, which has been published by Sport England, demonstrates that inequalities in activity levels are a social and economic burden but if we protect and invest in sport and physical activity, particularly for people that face barriers to taking part, we'll all be healthier, wealthier, and happier. As Professor Chris Witty, the Chief Medical Officer for England, states: "This reports shows that we need to make it easier for particular groups to engage in physical activity including sport." This is a key focus for the #ActivePartnerships network as we understand the local barriers and work collaboratively with partners to break them down, helping everyone to move more.
