Last week Dalriada Trustees, Managing Director, Chris Roberts was quoted in a Pensions Expert article 'Addressing diversity in pension trusteeship'. The recent Trustee Diversity and Inclusion survey by the The Pensions Regulator (TPR) has shed light on the lack of diversity within pension trustee boards, primarily dominated by white men over 45. However, the survey also revealed a strong acknowledgment among trustees of the importance of diversity for effective decision-making, governance, and member outcomes. Chris stated “We have broadened our geographic base to span the whole UK to give access to wider and more diverse recruitment pools and we have consciously not set minimum educational standards to avoid unnecessary barriers to neurodiverse colleagues. We are currently looking at options to create entry-level academy/graduate roles to allow new entrants to the sector, broadening the talent pool.
