Celebrating Authentic Partnerships: Empowering Women in Motorsport Today, I had the privilege of attending the Female Quotient F1 Academy panel featuring an inspiring lineup: Tommy Hilfiger, Susie Wolff, Alba Hurup Larsen (F1 Academy Racing Driver) facilitated by the awesome Naomi Schiff. The panel discussed the role of authentic partnerships in accelerating women’s roles in motorsport. Their shared stories highlighted that breaking barriers and creating opportunities for women requires intentional collaboration and a commitment to innovation. Hard won progress has been made over the past 2 years but it’s still Day 1. As someone passionate about executive networking and fostering inclusivity, this conversation resonated deeply. It’s a powerful reminder that by forging strategic alliances, we can drive real change—not just in motorsport but across all industries. #F1Academy #FemaleQuotient #Motorsport #DiversityAndInclusion #Empowerment #LasVegasGrandPrix #F1Academy

For those who know me, my passion for motorsport is no secret. But what Extreme E is doing truly has my interest, not just as a fan but as an advocate for equality. Extreme E has introduced a different approach to racing by pairing male and female drivers on each of the 8 teams, challenging and changing the dynamics of motorsport. This isn’t just innovative but it’s a step towards opportunity. Impressively, this initiative has resulted in closing the performance gap between male and female drivers by 50.6% in just three seasons and limited seat time! This achievement is particularly noteworthy given the smaller pool of women in motorsport, many of whom may not have had the same early start in racing as their male counterparts. Yet, Extreme E's format provides a compelling testament to the idea that practice makes perfect. By offering equal track time and opportunities for development, Extreme E is proving that access and practice can dramatically level the playing field showing the world that with the right conditions, anyone can compete at the highest levels, regardless of gender. The race towards gender parity is on, and it’s one we can all join. Read EY's sustainability report here: https://lnkd.in/emSH_jUp 🌍🏎️ #ExtremeE #EqualityInMotion #PracticeMakesPerfect

Formula 1 has recently launched a comprehensive #Diversity and #Inclusion charter, signaling a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive environment within motorsport. 🧾 This initiative is backed by all ten F1 teams, the FIA (FIA – Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile), and Lewis Hamilton Mission 44 charity. The charter aims to attract, retain, create, and engage talent from underrepresented communities in motorsport. 🖊️ Key Elements of the Charter include; 📍 Attract: Target initiatives that seek to draw in diverse talent. 📍 Retain: Create an inclusive culture that supports the growth of diverse employees. 📍 Create: Develop pathways for diverse individuals to enter and thrive in motorsport. 📍 Engage: Collaborate with external stakeholders to foster inclusivity across the sport This charter builds on previous initiatives, such as the F1 Academy—a program aimed at supporting female racers—and various engineering scholarships designed for #underrepresentedgroups. These efforts underscore F1's recognition that diversity is crucial not only for social justice but also for driving innovation within the sport. *Why am I posting this?* For me, it highlights significant steps towards change and hopefully inspires many more to advocate for holistic diversity, equality & inclusion efforts in their company. 🔄 Actions taken in diversity and inclusion are beneficial in all areas! #supplierdiversity #inclusivesourcing #responsiblesupplychain fips consulting

The Superbike Ladies League: A Revolutionary Championship In the world of motorsport, gender equality and environmental sustainability are often considered secondary aspirations. However, the Superbike Ladies League (SLL) is challenging this narrative by introducing regulations that not only promote gender equality but also commit to a greener future. Founded with the vision of creating a fair competitive environment for courageous female riders, the SLL has recently finalized a rulebook that is as innovative as it is inclusive. The championship has adopted a race format inspired by WSK Karting, including qualifying groups, repechages, pre-finals, and finals, ensuring a dynamic experience for both competitors and spectators. One of the most significant changes is the announcement that, starting in 2028, the official tire supplier must ensure that all tires are produced using zero-emission materials. This pioneering decision not only reduces the environmental impact of racing but also encourages the automotive industry to explore sustainable alternatives to traditional plastics. The SLL also stands out for its commitment to ensuring fair and balanced competitions. The combined motorcycle-rider minimum weight and modifications to concessions are just some of the rules implemented to maintain sporting integrity. Additionally, penalties for engine allocation violations have been tightened, demonstrating the seriousness with which the championship addresses rule compliance. These initiatives place the SLL at the forefront of motorsport, setting new standards for innovation and inclusivity. With a season promising excitement and talent, the Superbike Ladies League is poised to become a model for other series and inspire further advancements in the racing world. In conclusion, the Superbike Ladies League is not just a racing championship; it is a movement that celebrates the strength and determination of women while promoting a more sustainable future for our planet. With each race, the SLL writes a new chapter in motorsport history, inviting everyone to support these remarkable riders on their journey to victory.

"Breaking barriers in any field requires a special kind of fearlessness. In motorsport, this fearlessness isn’t just about the courage to get behind the wheel of a high-speed vehicle — it’s about challenging norms and showing resilience. "I’ve seen this fearlessness firsthand in drivers like Emma Gilmour, the first female driver for McLaren Racing’s Extreme E team. When Emma signed that contract, she wasn’t just agreeing to race — she was taking on the mantle of a role model and pioneer." Great words by Brendan P. Keegan in Rolling Stone, on choosing to sponsor the McLaren Extreme E team, because our core pillars of gender equality, sustainability and pushing boundaries, fully aligned with his own priorities in life and business. The rise of women in motorsport is breaking barriers and redefining the sport. Our drivers like Emma, Catie Munnings, Klara Andersson, Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinsky Molly Taylor, Hedda Hosaas, Sara Price, are all part of massive change, and are proving that racing knows no gender difference. Off-track, initiatives like McLaren’s shadow programs foster inclusion, tackling biases and creating opportunities. With every driver's success, motorsport accelerates towards equality, inspiring new generations to follow in their hard earned race tracks. Extreme E remains the flagship series for fostering equality and female racing progress, but that work doesn't stop here, we can't wait to continue this into Extreme H.
