Did you know that they average American is 3 generations or more removed from the farm? It’s no longer commonplace for youth to grow up hearing about Grandpa’s days on the farm, or visiting the farm of a friend or family member. Less than 2% of Americans work in production agriculture, so it is essential that today’s parents & teachers take an active role in learning about farming and ranching and share that knowledge with their children (preferable through hands on experiences of possible).
