After arriving in São Paulo, I expected that my qualifications and fluency in multiple languages would give me a significant advantage in landing a fulfilling job 😌✨️ However, just like in many other places, education and professional experience are often overshadowed by nepotism and the need for internal connections to support your candidacy. If not that, then the salary offered is often far below what aligns with your profile 😮💨 Interestingly, I landed a temporary job as a Sales Consultant to pay the bills. It’s a new experience, considering my background is in Quality Control. That said, providing excellent customer service is now a top priority for me, as great sales are rooted in great customer experiences. To generate leads and retain existing customers, humanizing interactions and not treating people like numbers can work wonders.
