As the recovery efforts continue, here are the latest insights on the situation: 🚢 Port of Houston: Export dwell is expected to decrease from 13 days back to around the 8-day mark that was observed prior to the storm. 🚚 Truckload Shipments: Improved on-time performance post-storm, but face volatility as volume levels return to normal. 🔌 Power Outages: While most power has been restored, around 270,000 homes and businesses are still without it. The Verisk Extreme Events Solutions research and modeling team estimates that insured losses from wind in the U.S. for Hurricane Beryl will range between $2 billion-$3 billion USD. The Category 1 hurricane hit near Matagorda Bay, Texas, with estimated sustained winds of 80 mph as it moved inland, causing extensive and prolonged power outages affecting nearly 3 million households.
