This is 25-year-old me.
I left a high-paying BPO night shift job with bonuses, pickup and drop services, and numerous other perks, to join a small consultancy firm in Training and Business Development for half the salary.
This was a major shift in my career.
This job taught me-
1️⃣ How to Manage and work in teams
2️⃣ How to collaborate with HR companies and craft approach notes just by reading and finding companies on google and newspaper ads
3️⃣ It showed me how to confidently wear my favorite work attire – a white shirt and scarf.
4️⃣ I learned how to create effective PPTs and trainer notes, design specific activities, and present them with ample practice.
5️⃣ It also taught me how to navigate the crowded Mumbai Local from Borivali, being pushed to get down at Andheri station.
7️⃣ It taught me to be in the world of corporate training without any social media presence
8️⃣ It taught me to imbibe all that i learnt and then ask for the perks I deserved
6️⃣ And most importantly, it gave me a good night’s sleep.
When I first joined this firm, I was scared about how I would manage family responsibilities on half the salary. But what was more important to me was job satisfaction, the learning opportunities, and a good night's rest.

Mistakes people make in their interviews 🤦
For a position that I'm hiring these days, I'm seeing some basic mistakes candidates are making. These are useful for everyone to keep in mind.
➡️ Bitching about the present employer
It's a let down when you find candidates spending considerable portion of their interview time poking holes in their present employers ⌛
As a prospective employer, I get a feel they're not really coming towards me, rather they're running away from current company.
➡️ Discussing confidential numbers of the employer 📊
While you definitely want to please the recruiter, it comes at a grave risk to your reputation.
➡️ Showing no energy in the interview 🔋
When you show no excitement about your job, yourself or the opportunity, it's hard to bet on you.
➡️ No basic sense in negotiation for the CTC 💲
People tell me to pay them more because they have high family expenses. Why would that matter to me?
Position your value add to seek a hike, not some sob story.
➡️ Not ready for future 📈
If I ask candidates where do they see themselves 4-5 years from now, the answers are so generic, so vague, they're practically useless. Be clear about the direction of your career, and how this job sits in that.

I am looking to hire a "Provider Network Manager" at Medi Assist Noida office.
Candidate needs to have Finance or Operations background, with 3-5 years of work experience. Prior experience in insurance or healthcare is NOT a must. Can be graduate or post-graduate. Detail-orientation is a MUST.
The candidate will primarily consolidate the network operations for our recently acquired company Raksha TPA.
The candidate needs to:
- Consolidate and track payments to pan-India Provider Network.
- Run RCA where there are issues, disputes, grievances etc. and own the resolution.
- Should be thorough about KPIs of the function.
