Photographing glass objects is always a complicated task because of the reflective surface, and at the same time translucent nature, of this material. The techniques used here are known as black-line and white-line lighting, and are defined by the way light is shown at the edges of the glass, in contrast to the color of the background.

Photographed in 2010, by March 2022 the Crepe Myrtle trees have gone and the shrubbery next to the building on the left has been replaced with Agave Americana. The building to the left has also had the windows either side of the door replaced with glass blocks making it look quite art deco. Sixth study from a collection of 'then and now' photographs taken in four Texas counties. Ready-made compositions captured then allowed to age untouched for a decade. Now being geotagged, and each image contextualized. 𝐈𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭:- 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 This interesting and informative report proposes a model of affordable tenanted croft housing to be built by community landowners for their croft tenants. The authors suggest that this model makes new croft housing more accessible for local young people and will ensure the housing does not become subject to market forces. SCF Chief Exec, Donna Smith, commented "[The proposed scheme] has real potential to strengthen rural communities in the future and keep people in them who want to actively maintain stewardship of the land and the community".

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 ‘𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱’ 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗲 that the human experience is not a straight path, but one of twists and turns. On the way to a specific goal, my direction can change in an instant, when a global incident, physical frailty, personal tragedy, or outstanding triumph impacts me. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘁 to discover what the new direction can teach me and where it will lead.
