We’re thrilled to share that The Female Quotient is a finalist in the Shorty Awards for best Branded Series, FQ Trailblazers in History and for our LinkedIn presence 🏆 We believe that change happens through powerful storytelling. Through our “Trailblazers in History” video campaign, we share the stories of “unseen” female change-makers. From historic firsts to pioneering the world’s most innovative concepts, women have made extraordinary contributions to the world as we know it. Yet, so many of these iconic women’s achievements have gone largely unnoticed because they were never documented in history books. For example, Albert Einstein’s first wife, Mileva Marić-Einstein, was a physicist too – and there’s plenty of evidence that her work contributed significantly to his groundbreaking science. They decided to publish under his name because a man's name carried more weight. The purpose of this campaign is simple, but powerful: Make the invisible visible by highlighting forgotten women in history. With a small social team of just a few people (who truly love uncovering the history of trailblazing women) and zero budget, we’ve organically grown this series post by post. FQ community: We'd love your help to vote for our team's creative work through April 30! https://lnkd.in/gjJBmbRe #shortyawards #shortyawardsfinalist #audiencehonor

BoardProspects COO, Megan Wang was recently in conversation with Kenna Baudin and Amee Ricketts Mungo on getting on a corporate board as part of Worth Media Group's Groundbreaking Women Summit. We encourage you to watch the entire conversation and have shared a few of Megan’s takeaways below. Watch the entire conversation here: https://lnkd.in/ewsfYW3p 1. The journey to the boardroom is long & it is just as much an interview with you as it is for you with them - don’t underestimate the importance of finding a mutual fit. 2. Think about the intersection of: 1) your skills, 2) areas of interest / passion (ex. industry) and 3) gaps in oversight / guidance on the board. The nexus of these things is the sweet spot of understanding your value to that specific board - tailor your pitch accordingly. 3. Public vs private board service - it differs greatly and if you’re just beginning your journey to the boardroom, a private company board opportunity is an excellent first step. Think about how your experience might be uniquely valuable to whatever stage the company is at (Series A, B, C, pre-IPO) - and feel confident that the CEO will call you for guidance on those particular challenges.

Wrapped 💫 We closed the four-week Create Growth: Female Founders Coaching Programme yesterday for GM Business Growth Hub. Our brief? Help these amazing business women build more confidence and resilience. What a four weeks it’s been: 💫 An in-person workshop to start to uncover the concrete walls present in our businesses and personal lives 💫 An online deep dive into self limiting beliefs, followed by observed coaching sessions 💫 Online again, this time looking at evidence stacking for confidence and more observed coaching 💫 Wrapped with a final in-person workshop and a vision boarding session to let the community strengthen their bonds (which are as strong as they are!) and some incredible reflections. We’ll share some of the incredible feedback soon. But for now, thank you GM Business Growth Hub for trusting us with your first female founders programme. We can’t wait to see where they go next 🙏

Check your inbox 💌 Yesterday our CEO Viviane Paxinos sent out her monthly letter and this time she focused on setting the pace of your own journey and learning to focus on your path without comparing yourself to others. Here are some key takeaways: ✨For me, the key is to focus on your path - the one you have set for yourself and where you get to decide the speed, the stops and the destination. ✨So remember to celebrate your wins, however big or small, because they mean you're moving forward ✨I want women to feel confident in staying committed to defining what success looks like for them. To keep their eye on their own prize and enjoy the process of getting there. ✨All of this is made more possible when you're surrounded by like-minded people, something that's proven to make us all feel more fulfilled. Seek out the women who understand your dreams, will champion your successes and offer encouragement as you navigate your path. Imposter syndrome is something I struggle with often, and managing it can be really tricky. Even when I achieve something significant, there's always that lingering self-doubt and the fear of being exposed as a fraud. It's taken a lot of effort to remind myself of my own worth and to stop comparing myself to others. It's a journey, but I'm learning to embrace my progress and trust in my abilities. Refreshing to hear these are 'normal' thoughts. #ImposterSyndrome #SelfDoubt #PersonalGrowth #Confidence #CareerJourney #BelieveInYourself #ProfessionalDevelopment #OvercomingChallenges #CelebrateSuccess #GrowthMindset #TrustYourJourney

I met the most wonderful women as a panelist at last night's Leadership Women event on Women Leading in Sustainability and Equity! Thank you Melissa Lee for highlighting my comment about investing sustainably: "If resources continue to flow to problems, we get more problems. If resources flow to solutions, we get more solutions." #sustainability #sustainablebusiness #sustainableinvesting
Going into today inspired after attending Leadership Women’s panel on Equity and Sustainabily at Atlanta Regional Commission. It’s been a difficult few days on campus at UGA, but last night reminded me of the power that women hold. We are uniquely qualified to make a difference in a world that’s been doing things the same way, for a long time. In my handful of notes, this one rings truest for me as a fundraiser: If resources continue to flow to problems, we get more problems. If they flow to solutions, we get more solutions. Thank you Shannon Caldwell for inviting me and to Donna Finale, Anna Roach and Nancy Sagar for sharing your experience! (📸 Reminding me that it’s been a decade since I was an Atlantan)

What an honor and a privilege to attend the Barron’s Women’s Summit 2023. Thank you Edelman Financial Engines and WPL (Women Planners in Leadership) for your sponsorship to attend. Barron’s Women’s Summit brings together the best minds in the wealth management industry. It is designed to raise the standard of excellence in the wealth management profession. The takeaways are too many to list but to highlight just a few… -Digital world of artificial intelligence is here and growing at a rapid rate. We need to embrace it. -The shift of wealth to women is happening through inheritance and by women creating wealth. We need more women in the space of wealth management. -It was an honor to hear from Téa Leoni, actor, producer, philanthropist and Candice Nelson, founder of Sprinkles cupcakes and Pizzana, NY Times best selling author. Téa and Candice both were inspiring in how they are making a difference in their own way. Looking forward to attending again next year! #FromHereForward
