Figma acquires the AI design tool Diagram 🎨 Diagram isn't just a tool, it's a whole new way of thinking about design. It takes your design prompts and turns them into stunning visuals. A great example of how transformative this can be is .....You're working on a login screen. Instead of nitpicking every little detail - the email field, the password box, the login button - you're brainstorming new, innovative ways for users to log in. 🚪🔑 The Figma + Diagram combo is using AI to shift us from pixels to patterns, creating smoother, more intuitive experiences. https://lnkd.in/epwPSTub #Figma #AI #DesignRevolution

I’ve been having interesting conversations with a number of smart industry experts over the past week. Not to be glib but there is a general opinion that our industry has become waylaid. The software and tools we use are incredible but too many designers and technologists are becoming anchored to their screens. It’s too sterile. The tools and the process have become a distraction. Too many have lost sight of the true outcomes in favour of speed and ‘best practice’. We’re designing for people. The end user doesn’t care about Adobe, Figma, C4D, AI or the code we write. The above are excellent but people only care about the result itself. A(G)I is increfible but it’s based on LLM’s of what already exists and the solutions that truly make positive change are adventurous, innovative and create new discourse. This can only happen through real creativity. The best agencies and designers get out into our beautiful world, they look up, they explore, research, play and talk to people. They experience, feel, and understand the human connection and condition. Fight against the sea of sameness. Tell real stories. Create human work with entrenched empathy. The industry is moving fast, it’s incredibly exciting but let’s not sacrifice our humanity. Let’s improve our future. #pushthepossible #designforgood #agency #tech #ai

Figma and AI: A Good Idea 💡 or a Creativity Killer ☠ ? Config 2024. Everyone, both online and in person, was thrilled about the new updates—until AI was mentioned. Suddenly, there was a hush. The chat exploded with messages like “Goodbye, everyone!” and “Figma, you were supposed to be our friend!” But is that really the case? Personally, I think it's only the end of creativity if we let it be. We've only had AI for a short time, but we've seen that, if we want, it can handle our tasks with little effort. However, minimal effort doesn't equate to genuine creativity. So, in a tool designed for creatives, are we just going to use the same AI-generated templates without any changes? Use them as a guide? Or not use them at all? When I first saw the update, I was worried. But a few minutes later, I realized something: yes, I’ll use AI to name my layers and maybe to generate some images. But I still need to do the research, understand my client's (and their users) needs, position the content correctly, and, of course, create unique designs. Figma introduced AI-generated screens as a starting point, not the final product. This is how we should use it—to skip the blank page but still infuse our own creativity. Let’s not become machines. Instead, let’s use AI to enhance our creativity, not replace it. #Figma #AI #Creativity #DesignTools #Config2024 #ArtificialIntelligence #TechInnovation #CreativeDesign #DesignCommunity #FutureOfDesign #AIDesign #HumanCreativity #DesignInspiration #CreativeProcess #TechTrends #DesignUpdates

In a few years, we may have AI tools that will ask for requirements much like we create documentation files for any product. This documentation would include all the micro features, design styles, user groups, and user personas. We would simply upload this information, and the AI tool would generate a complete 70-page Figma file, including the prototype and design system. What would our role as designers be then?

UX/UI Designer helping companies and startups achieve exponential growth through strategic branding and exceptional digital design. 🎨💻
Instead of battling against AI, we should be leveraging its capabilities to enhance our own. Here is a cool example ▶️ I had to design a cool hero section of a website. Instead of stressing out, I asked Bing AI for help. It showed me some ideas, and I thought, "Wow, that's neat!" (The left one is Bing generated) Then, I used that as an inspiration to make my own design in Figma. (pretty much just needed to polish the design) It was awesome and saved me a bunch of time. Moral of the story? Don't fight AI, work with it to make your life easier! 💬 What's your take on this? lemme know 🙌🏻 #AI #uidesign ____________________________ Hi, I'm Hammas Khan, UI/UX Designer working with design-driven companies and startups on designing meaningful brands and creating high-end websites 🎨💡 All about me ▶️ https://lnkd.in/ggrTVzyd

Is Figma AI replacing designers? No, it’s too early to make that call. Generating complete layouts or even small sections still faces challenges. However, features like background removal, layer renaming, and AI-auto-auto-layouts are promising. These tools are set to save significant time on routine tasks. In essence, while AI won't replace designers, it will undoubtedly streamline their workflow. #Figma #AI #FigmaAI
