Community programs that bring together older adults (65+) and young people (-18) have resulted in fewer depressive symptoms and better emotional and mental health. This is one of the ways that we can address loneliness and increase collective efficacy, social capital and social cohesion. #rethinkaging

You and your employer can make a direct impact by sponsoring an upcoming Build-A-Kit, donating, directing, and volunteering. 😍 "Families with children in elementary through high school plan to spend an average of $874.68 on clothing, shoes, school supplies, and electronics. Total back-to-school spending is expected to reach $38.8 billion, also the second-highest figure on record, after last year’s high of $41.5 billion." 😧 https://lnkd.in/dUwga6eD

A few years ago, DonationScout set out to streamline restaurant fundraisers even more with a new ePayments system. We aimed to simplify the payment process with seamless online transactions. However, we discovered that while restaurants wanted online payments, fundraiser organizations preferred traditional checks, despite initially expressing a preference for electronic donations. This aligns with Henry Ford's insight: "If I would have asked people what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse." Often, consumers don’t know what they truly need. This led us to pivot. DonationScout is now acts as an intermediary, allowing restaurants to process payments online, while ensuring fundraiser organizations received physical checks. This experience highlights the importance of iteration in product development. At DonationScout, we embrace challenges as opportunities to innovate and better serve our partners in the community fundraising landscape.
DonationScout: Your AP team's newest crush 😍 📢 Announcing donation processing for DonationScout. You (the restaurant) send the event donation to us electronically, we cut the check. It's that simple. Schedule a demo here: https://lnkd.in/gNdGQazm

The Corsi-Rosenthal Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 35-2779639). Our goal is to provide cleaner air in school and other public buildings with particular interest in underserved and/or vulnerable communities. We do this largely through financial grants, materials, or a combination of the two to build Corsi-Rosenthal boxes (CR Boxes). The Corsi-Rosenthal Foundation is run by consensus of a Board of Directors. All Board members are volunteers and receive no salary. As such, 100% of donations go directly to grantees for cleaning the air for their communities. No donations are used to purchase materials from companies affiliated with any Board members. Donations come in two forms: (1) individuals or corporations can make a financial donation, or (2) filter manufacturers and other companies can donate filters, fans or duct tape which are provided to grantees for assembling CR Boxes. While the Foundation is young and ramping up activities, we are proud to have allocated resources to build CR Boxes in schools/school districts and veterans centers in Mississippi, Kentucky, Arizona, Washington DC, and more. For more information on how to donate or to apply for a grant please see - https://lnkd.in/gn794fBq
