🔹The Saudia Group has placed an order with Airbus for 105 A320neo-Family aircraft. The aircraft (93 A321neos and 12 A320neos) will be split between the flag carrier Saudia and its low-cost subsidiary Flyadeal. It now takes the group's Airbus order backlog to 144 A320neo Family aircraft. In a statement, the Saudia Group said that the order directly support its “objectives to connect the world with the Kingdom, aligning with several key pillars of Saudi Vision 2030”. flynas celebrated taking delivery of the 50th aircraft out of an order for 120 A320neo aircraft from Airbus at a reception held at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. flynas said it is moving forward in its ambitious plans to double the fleet size after the Board of Directors approved an increase in purchase orders to 250 aircraft, in line with flynas strategic plan launched under the title (We Connect the World to the Kingdom), in parallel with the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP) to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques and the National Civil Aviation Strategy to enable national air carriers to contribute to connecting KSA with 250 International destinations and to accommodate 330 million passengers and to host 100 million tourists yearly by 2030. flynas airline has expanded its passenger capacity by 25 percent following the acquisition of two Airbus A320neo aircraft, marking a significant milestone for Saudi Arabia’s premier low-cost carrier. This development signifies improved operational capabilities, enabling the airline to offer over 1.2 million seats for both international and domestic flights during the month of Ramadan. Within a span of less than two years, Flynas has more than doubled the size of its all-Airbus fleet, achieving a remarkable growth of over 100 percent. The addition of two A320neo aircrafts has bolstered the airline's capacity by more than 73 percent, bringing the total to 46 planes. To facilitate operations during Ramadan, the airline has incorporated four A330 wide-body aircraft into its fleet. These acquisitions are part of a larger order for 120 aircraft from Airbus, valued at over SAR 32 billion (Dh 8.3 billion), aligning with its ambitious plan to increase new aircraft orders to 250, in line with the objectives outlined in the National Civil Aviation Strategy.
