With the continues impact of Climate Change this number is set to drastically rise by 2050. Through our Home Equals campaign we're advocating for global leaders to take action, calling attention to the opportunity to promote climate adaptation in the places where people need it most, especially in informal settlements. It is important to strengthen local resilience to the impact of climate change. This can be done by supporting local actors to develop participatory plans that are specific to climate risks, enhancing women’s voice in climate leadership, creating climate financial budget at the national and county government, and building a diverse transformative coalition that included stakeholders from different environments. We all need to foster these as a way of combating the effects of climatic change. #climateaction #ecosystempartners

Enabling participation of children and young people as we address the climate crisis is essential for climate justice. Participation in decisions that impact our lives is not only a fundamental right but it is also the smart thing to do. Decisions taken when meaningful participation is enabled leads to better results. Action for Climate Empowerment is one of the areas under the UN Climate Negotiations that looks at improving access to information and participation for everyone, including children and young people. This morning at the annual ACE Dialogue I was delighted to present on World Vision Citizen Voice and Action approach for Climate Action and co-facilitate a session on tools and support that promote public participation in climate action. #climatejustice #climateaction #participation
