The nature of the products we distribute (heavy copper wire/terminals) have historically made "last mile" logistics difficult for our industry, handicapping territory expansion for vendors. The "Prime Effect" only exacerbated that problem, with consumers universally programmed to expect everything in 2 days or less. Recent updates from UPS now put Colorado within our 2-day shipping target, with our reasonable minimums still unlocking free freight. (Unless a customer specifically requests - and pays for - a different carrier, we continue to ship orders exclusively via UPS. 47 years in, we still see delays and damages exponentially lower with Big Brown compared to FedEx/DHL/etc...) As part of our growth strategy, CTW's planned Denver distribution hub will soon unlock 2-day shipping beyond the Rockies to the Southwest and West Coast... completing our vision of Nationwide 2-Day Shipping availability, effectively becoming our industry's second truly national vendor. (one ecomm-only vendor previously opened a Reno distribution hub)
