Prior to 1914 and after 1920 It is notable the prior to 1914 most of the world was not divided into nation states. Rather, they were multicultural, multiethnic empires. The names of the largest ones were, Austro-Hungarian, China, India*, Ottoman, Russia. After 1920 there remained only China, India* and the USSR (Russia). These are today still empires of colonized multi ethnicities. The lines drawn on maps during 1919-20 became de facto and de jure nation states no matter their cultural or ethnic heritage.

Russia supports us but needs alteration in INDIA-US ties. The only supporter of India from Jacques Chirac(1976 &1998) to Emmanuel Macron today is France. India always look France as the only strong string on India's side.🤩 This step of inviting Mr. Macron as the chief guest is really commendable👏 This marks a strong bond between PM Modi and Prez Macron. The relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Emmanuel Macron is characterized as positive and cooperative. Both have a mutual respect for each other.👬 As we celebrate Republic Day with fervor and pride, let's also reflect on the shared values that bind us with our international partners. Today marks the anniversary of Greece's declaration of independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1821 after almost 400 years of occupation. It's a reminder of the sacrifices made and the struggles endured by the Greek people to reclaim their sovereignty. This historic event highlights the parallels between Greece's fight for independence and contemporary global conflicts. Four centuries ago, Greece was under the yoke of foreign domination, facing oppression and suppression of its cultural identity. Today, we witness similar struggles in various parts of the world where nations fight for their autonomy and cultural preservation against oppressive regimes or foreign interventions. The contribution which France made to the success of the American Revolution is well understood. But not everyone knows that the consequences for the French monarchy of involvement with the American Revolution in the war, since its victory was so promptly followed by the fiscal and political crisis which triggered the French Revolution Spain did not suffer the catastrophic after-effects that the war brought to its French counterpart. The American Revolution was, nonetheless, an important moment in the history of Spain and its empire, not only because the defeat of Britain altered the balance of colonial power in the Americas, but also because Spain’s engagement in the war interacted with political reforms and cultural changes within Spain and its American colonies. #effects

Today July 14 is French National Day for all French worldwide but also to all world citizen who often see it just as a symbol of the French Revolution and just call it “The Bastille Day”. But it’s much more then just that. The French national holiday, July 14th, indeed commemorates the storming of the Bastille in 1789, a symbolic event of the French Revolution. It officially became France's national day in 1880 almost a century later when the French government decided to celebrate it annually to mark national unity and republican values such as liberty, equality, and fraternity. The aftermath of the French Revolution indeed also marked decades of political changes, instability, and various political regimes in France (including monarchy, republic, empire), hence the government of the Third Republic sought to strengthen national unity. Choosing July 14th as the national holiday aimed to unite the country around a symbolic date of freedom and unity. Overall, July 14th serves as a day of celebration, reflection, and unity for the French people, reinforcing their sense of belonging and shared culture, history, and contributions to democracy and civil rights. While I believe that #European identity and its successes are rooted in much more than just its Judeo-Christian heritage, I will set that discussion aside for now. Instead, I want to highlight two poignant observations that vividly portray the current state of #Europe: 🎯 "This exaggerated welfare state – beyond necessary solidarity – has been detrimental in two ways. First, more money is spent than is sustainably available, and worse still, too much is expected from the state, resulting in the abandonment of self-responsibility. In this context, people seduced by expediency have started to exchange #personal #freedoms, #critical #thinking and their #identity for an #illusion of #security." This brings to mind Franklin's famous words: "Those who would give up essential #liberty, to purchase a little temporary #safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." 🗽 🎯 "#Free societies worldwide are currently challenged by autocratic systems. A society not only ignoring, but actively dismantling and ridiculing its own identity will not prevail. In order to preserve the essential values of #freedom and self-determination, it is not enough to resist autocrats abroad; it is also necessary to protect and nurture identity at home."
