Two parallel, WNW-ESE striking, 3km trends containing widespread #lithium mineralisation defined by spodumene-bearing boulders were identified at Trinex Minerals Limited's Kick Prospect within the Halo-Yuri Project North. This area has the highest concentration of angular mineralised boulders across #TX3's project, and the most significant outcrop at the eastern end of the trend. The two parallel boulder trends likely reflect two pegmatite dykes that strike in the same orientation as the boulder trend. The southern trend is characterised by car-sized mineralised boulders in a relatively narrow area (20-40m), while the northern trend has abundant mineralised boulders over a 100-140m thick area with Li₂O values up to 5.0% being returned from this area. At the eastern end of the Kick trend in the recently staked mineral claims, numerous small outcrops and subcrops of spodumene-bearing pegmatite that have returned assays of between 1.4% - 2.3% Li₂O, were mapped across a 300m by 30m area. via Stockhead Bastion Minerals Limited reports of an update on the high-grade #copper potential that exists within the Gyttorp REE project. Based on four over-range samples collected in the north of the property, #BMO is reporting copper results between 2.5% and 8.5% Cu, plus 7.27% TREE+Y. This continues the recent strong high-grade results found at Gyttorp, which is in Southern Sweden and is a project located on the southern end of a belt of iron and REE-enriched skarns, more than 100km long, known locally as the “REE-line”, with Bastnäs type #REE mineralisation. "The Zaidan skarn Pb-Zn-Ag deposit is located in the southeast part of the Arghandab-Trin metallic zone. It is associated with basic dykes and an Oligocene granite intrusion into the Upper Triassic to Jurassic carbonates, making it a calcic skarn deposit. Skarn-type deposits are typical hydrothermal mineral deposits, where the original mineral composition of rocks is modified by hydrothermal fluids rich in lead, zinc, and associated elements. These fluids, typically sourced from deep within the Earth's crust (Batholith Arghandab), migrate through fractures and faults, encountering host rocks along their journey. As they interact with these rocks, they initiate silicification, carbonization, and propylitic alterations at the contact of the wall rocks and intrusion fluids. Silicification, the replacement of original minerals with silica, is a common alteration associated with lead and zinc deposits. This process often results in the formation of quartz veins and breccias, which serve as conduits for mineralizing fluids and can host significant concentrations of lead and zinc ores. Carbonatization is another prevalent alteration observed in proximity to lead and zinc deposits. This process involves the replacement of primary carbonate minerals with secondary carbonate minerals, such as calcite and dolomite, which can serve as important hosts for lead and zinc mineralization. Furthermore, sulfidation alterations, where sulfur-bearing minerals like pyrite and sphalerite replace pre-existing minerals, play a crucial role in concentrating lead and zinc ores. IN THE MAGAZINE THIS WEEK Namibia has a lot of firsts. Apart from others, it holds the title of having the world's highest grade of vanadate ore in the Otavi Mountain Land. Golden Deeps Ltd. owns the Abenab project that hosts the deposit. Records indicate that between 1921 and 1938, the mine produced 1.8 Mt @ 1.05% V2O5 (plus zinc and lead) for 42 Mlbs (102,000 t) of concentrate, grading 18% V2O5, 13% Zn, and 42% Pb. Most of the supply feedstock from China comes from steel plants that process low-grade vanadium-bearing magnetite ores to produce steel and vanadium slag, which is then further processed through the salt roast and leach operations.
