If you missed the premiere last month at the Bostonians for Youth gala, check out our new video "Embody the Change". We invite you into TBC's Organizational Equity Practice's (OEP) innovative work with somatics to learn how healing starts with adults and transcends to the young people they serve. The combination of Trinity Boston Connects' (TBC) 3 Essential Community Practices (3 ECPs) - racial equity, trauma inclusion, and restorative justice - promotes healing for youth and adults across our programs. Somatics anchors the healing effect of our 3 ECPs through the body by engaging our thoughts, feelings, and capacity to act. It goes beyond understanding and insight to help us embody our visions and values in new ways, particularly under pressure. This is vital for healing trauma, improving wellness, shifting behavior, and advancing racial equity. There’s still time to invest and help close the gap of the event’s fundraising goal can still support. 🌟 The Power of Generosity in Business 🌟 In today's fast-paced business world, it can be easy to focus solely on the bottom line. But true success comes from a place of generosity—being generous with our time, resources, and intellect towards both our internal and external customers, and extending that generosity to our communities through volunteer work. When we are generous with our customers, we build trust and foster stronger relationships. Taking the time to truly listen, offering our expertise without expecting anything in return, and providing resources that help them succeed are all ways we can demonstrate this generosity. These actions create a positive impact that goes beyond transactions and leads to lasting partnerships. Internally, being generous with our teams by mentoring, sharing knowledge, and supporting each other's growth cultivates a collaborative and innovative work environment. It's about lifting each other up and ensuring that everyone has the tools and support they need to excel. Let's strive to create a culture of generosity in our workplaces and beyond. Together, we can build a brighter, more prosperous future for all. Proverbs 11:25: "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." This wisdom underscores the reciprocal nature of generosity—when we give, we also receive. #WednesdayWisdom #GenerosityInBusiness #CustomerCare #Volunteerism #Proverbs1125 #BusinessEthics #Leadership

We had an incredible session with the Tyler Grange | B Corp™ tribe after our Modern Slavery workshop last week! The energy and enthusiasm from everyone involved were truly inspiring. One of the most impactful moments came when one of the tribe members shared that they had only realised they had previously encountered a case of modern slavery through the insights gained in our workshop. 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞. Tyler Grange's commitment to fostering a culture of openness, transparency, and continuous learning was evident throughout the workshop. Their leadership team sets a remarkable example, creating an environment where important conversations like these can thrive. Well done to the Tyler Grange team for their dedication to driving positive change. Our static bike exercise added a unique and memorable dimension to the workshop, allowing participants to experience a glimpse of the freedom that survivors feel through our Freewheel programme. It was heartwarming to see everyone fully engaged in all the activities. As we reflect on this workshop, we're filled with gratitude for the opportunity to work with such a passionate and dedicated group. Together, we are making strides towards a future free from exploitation and injustice. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to forging long-term relationships and continuing our journey together towards positive change Thank you Jonathan Berry, Harry Madeley, Julian Arthur and the whole Tyler Grange | B Corp™ Team. Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards a more just and sustainable world. *credit video: Brij S. #RideForFreedom #EndModernSlavery #ModernSlaveryAwareness #HumanRights #ClimateChange #Collaboration #CommunityEngagement #TylerGrangeDifference #EducationIsPower #SpotTheSigns

Helping others can: - Increase our sense of purpose and fulfillment - Build stronger relationships and networks - Develop our empathy and understanding - Enhance our leadership and communication skills - Create a ripple effect of kindness and generosity So, how can you help others today? Whether it's mentoring a colleague, volunteering in your community, or simply offering a listening ear to a friend, remember that every small act counts. I think this is an apt description of our current reality. More than anything, we need to bring humanity back to the workplace and home. Let's change while we still can. Our planet, our world, our families, our communities, and our organizations need us to. And change starts with me. https://lnkd.in/dmzDGdU4 #itstartswithme #change #mindsetchange #leadershipdevelopment

Embracing the Game of Value: Shifting our Focus from Winning to Creating Impact 💫✨ In this FDC community, let’s take a moment to reflect on the power of adding value to someone else’s life. It’s not about winning the game, but about the game of the process itself. As we move forward, let’s ask ourselves: How can we create value for others? How does it make us feel to help and uplift others? Personally, it has given me a new perspective on what truly matters. Let’s encourage our children to ask themselves, ‘Who did you create value for today?’ Imagine the positive impact we can make in this world by prioritizing the well-being of others. Let’s make today, and every day, about creating value for others. 🌍✨💙 #GameOfValue #CreatingImpact #TheOasisCommunity #fordayscomingfriday #wealthadvisors #planningcommunity

🌍 Philanthropy and its Potential for Scaling Impact I recently watched an insightful interview between Bill Gates and Nikhil Kamath, where they discussed the transformative power of philanthropy. One key takeaway was Gates' perspective on how philanthropy can drive social change: "Philanthropy offers a unique opportunity to create efficient and effective pilot projects to address social issues. The most successful initiatives can then be adopted by governments and scaled for a larger impact." This approach underscores the synergy between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and philanthropy. While CSR is often seen as a subset of philanthropy, focused on corporate initiatives that contribute to societal well-being, the broader scope of philanthropy encompasses diverse efforts to pilot innovative solutions. 🔍 Why this matters: 1. Innovation: Philanthropic initiatives can experiment with new ideas and approaches that might be too risky for large-scale government programs initially. 2. Proof of Concept: Successful pilot projects can demonstrate the feasibility and impact of innovative solutions. 3. Scalability: Governments can leverage these proven models to implement wider-reaching programs, ensuring more significant societal benefits. #Philanthropy #CSR #SocialImpact #Innovation #BillGates #NitinKamath #SocialChange #SustainableDevelopment Link for the interview

Fire Chief, MBA/PA, Keynote Speaker, Author, Lecturer, Consultant, Strategic Planning, Professional Coaching, Leadership Development Facilitator and Speaker, Emergency Management, Special Operations,
Be leery of those that are more focused on what they are, or are not, getting. Rather, seek out those that are contributing effectively and consistently without regard of what’s in it for them. These individuals are those that understand that their contributions lead to a more sustainable success, and more importantly they make their organization better, put the citizens first, and have deep reverence for our profession. Contributors are those that we need to promote, they are the surest, long-term bet. #leadershipcoaching #leadershipdevelopment #contributions
