Ever felt like your virtual tours needed a bit of... pizzazz? 🎭✨
We've been working with WPVR's scene transitions and recently launched this feature.
And it has been amazing! Plus, it would take just 2-3 clicks to set up. Seriously! 😮
Here's why we're excited:
📌 These transitions add an element of motion that keeps viewers engaged.
📌 The transitions clearly signal movement between different areas. No more confused clients wondering if they've entered a new room!
📌 Let's face it, smooth transitions make your tour look high-end. It's the difference between a home movie and a Hollywood production.
Whether you're showcasing homes, hotel rooms, or art galleries, these transitions can turn your virtual tour into something special.
So don't wait around, watch this video and get started with this feature right away! 👇

One of my favorite Animoog Galaxy features is that you can partially use it in immersive mode while playing on a physical controller that's connected over Bluetooth MIDI and visible in passthrough. So you get the best of the physical world and the best of the virtual world combined in one experience.
For example in this picture we used a Sub25 connected with a WIDI Master plugged into its DIN MIDI ports.

A consumable video on CES 2024, SONY
Sony, my precious creator of the great Playstation model, is deciding to enter partnership with Honda to bring AI to ADAS. Not a collaboration we expected but cool to see how AI is creating many collaborations amongst organizations that perhaps share completely different business models.
Also, VR? (I told you VR is growing) A focus on creation and design for 3D models. Sony already has dabbled in VR for gaming, interesting to see them take a focus around design, with a plug for Unreal Engine 5, one of the most realistic virtual spaces to date.

Eye-tracking, AR Interactive Vehicle Displays? This will be a game-changer, and not just for information. I see it working in art and entertainment, such as pop-up museums and concerts. Where do you see it?
Fyi. The video is better than the creepy thumbnail they chose. I swear.

Really enjoyed doing the #TWIXR pod with XR industry heavy hitters and all round nice guys Charlie FinkTed Schilowitz and Rony Abovitz (weekly news roundup then I come on at 17:40 mins)
We covered a lot of ground including future of music and what we're building at Napster to finally unlock the #superfan opportunity. We also covered another favorite topic of mine, especially post Roblox. The future opportunities for brands & entertainment companies in the OPEN #metaverse aka the immersive, social, 3D internet. Mark Zuckerberg built the hype with his "Meta" rebrand then poured cold water on the fire when he (publicly) pivoted away from his metaverse strategy towards efficiency and AI.
To be clear I don't think the "metaverse" necessitates a headset, think more grown up Fortnite, Roblox for adults that is accessible from the browser (no download necessary), no gaming and it's an extension of your existing digital consumer touch points. If you haven't read Matthew Ball's great book, he has just done a major update coming out in July which is a solid primer (you can pre-order here https://lnkd.in/etJqtfSQ)
I still believe the immersive, social, 3D internet is one of the biggest but most under-reported future trends. While the world has become hypnotized with AI, there are companies making major strides building the technologies, engines and platforms that will power and populate the OPEN metaverse. It will not look like gaming, it will be initially driven by major brands, advertisers and media companies building out experiences, leveraging AI, to reach, entertain and engage their customers in more valuable and immersive ways. I am in the process of buying a car and the online research funnel stage is terrible, feels like 1999. Imagine going into an immersive experience by your favorite car brand (or retailer). You can walk around and see the cars, test drive them virtually, see new and used inventory. You can speak to live agents (or AI powered reps) to answer all your questions. The brand will know how long you spend, what questions you asked etc. Way better than online and even dealerships. Major brands who take bold steps will eclipse time spent and commerce generated by the 2D internet over the next 5 -10 years.
If you're not aware of companies like Inworld AI, Dubit, Terra Zero, Vatom, Infinite Reality check them out and if you are building for the Open Metaverse, please comment below and share more about your startup. I'm very excited about this next phase of the internet, it reminds me of when I was at AT&T Wireless launching 100's of major company's first apps onto the mobile internet! Let's build a better, more social, more immersive internet together!

The collaboration between Rokid and Hainan Airlines sets a new standard in in-flight entertainment, introducing Rokid Entertainment Kits featuring Rokid Max smart glasses and a versatile Rokid Station.
This innovative approach revolutionizes traditional in-flight entertainment, offering passengers a superior experience with immersive, high-definition displays and diverse content options. Overcoming the limitations of small seatback screens, the AR glasses provide a virtual cinema experience, while the Rokid Station, functioning as an Android TV device, grants access to a plethora of entertainment choices. Beyond entertainment, the incorporation of AR glasses hints at transformative possibilities, potentially leading to windowless aircraft designs for improved comfort and sustainability in air travel.
