I just graduated! 4 things I’ve learned at NU for 4 years as a student: 1. Seek true self-awareness: Understanding what truly matters to you takes time, but it's essential for personal growth. 2. Leverage peer pressure as a positive: While peer pressure is inevitable, your peers can also be incredible teachers and sources of inspiration. 3. Find excitement in discomfort: "Do what excites" often really means "Do what discomforts" – so embrace it and have some fun doing hard things. 4. Everyone is figuring things out: We all have our own fears and uncertainties. Knowing this makes it easier to ask for help or to ask questions that might seem simple. So, don’t fear to reach out, be curious, and support each other. We're all in this journey together! Cheers to the Class of 2024! 🍾

We’re all winners no matter what 👏 From the small wins to the mammoth wins and everything in between, it’s time to start celebrating our successes! So, allow me to go first. Here are 3 wins from this month 👇 👏 I am working on prepping my 5th class for the fall (4 I have taught before, and 2 of those I revamped to hopefully be better - so this is my only new class). Once I (hopefully) finish this one, I will feel prepared for a new semester. 👏👏 I think I am finally healing from my dissertation process. I woke up the other day thinking about what types of articles I might write to share my dissertation. I am in the process of 2 very rough drafts of articles. 👏👏👏 I have a few weeks left of summer and I am ready to help people find their career super genius! Even the smallest of things deserve to be celebrated 🥂 Comment 3 of your wins in the comments so we can all celebrate 🎉

CALLING Today we celebrate great Grade 12 results all over South Africa. I can still remember the relief and joy when I received my own results a million years ago... And at the same time I remember the stress of what lies ahead. It is a big decision after completing school to determine what you will pour most of your adult life into. My advice for grade 12's of 2023 that will start their studies soon is this: 📍Follow your calling. Everyone has something they're passionate about. 📍Do what you love, then you don't have to work a day in your life. 📍Seek ways to make an impact in peoples lives. Bonus if you could gain an income from that. 📍Every job starts with hours of hard work and even unpleasant tasks... Excell at that before you wait for results. Just get going! Life sorts itself in a way... And in the end, all will be well.
