👉 Size wise, our M-Ms are approximately 0.5 nm in size, while nanoparticles are typically between 2 - 100nm, while bulk metal is considered above 100nm.
👉 M-M have covalent bonding and confined electrons. Nanoparticles and bulk metals have metallic bonding with delocalized electrons - a completely different structure.
👉 Compared to bulk metal, nanoparticles have surface enhanced properties, whereas M-M have completely new size dependent properties.
