Have you ever been to a panel where you left thinking, "Wow...those people just really liked to hear themselves talk"? Let's be honest, a lot of networking events + conferences don't add a lot of value 🤨 I love networking events and workshops where you leave feeling inspired, feeling like you've learned something, and feeling like you have made true, genuine connections with people. (It's one of our goals for The Beauty Social every month!) I know Amy Kapolnek feels the same way, so I *can't wait* to attend her event for female leaders + entrepreneurs, "Success Unleashed: Achieving Power, Purpose & Passion." The event is dedicated to growth, empowerment and connection, with diverse focuses on wellness + visualization, how to succeed at the top, and investing strategies for women. I'm so excited 🤗 Dropping the link in the comments for anyone else who's interested. Let me know if I'll see you there!

Check your inbox 💌 Yesterday our CEO Viviane Paxinos sent out her monthly letter and this time she focused on setting the pace of your own journey and learning to focus on your path without comparing yourself to others. Here are some key takeaways: ✨For me, the key is to focus on your path - the one you have set for yourself and where you get to decide the speed, the stops and the destination. ✨So remember to celebrate your wins, however big or small, because they mean you're moving forward ✨I want women to feel confident in staying committed to defining what success looks like for them. To keep their eye on their own prize and enjoy the process of getting there. ✨All of this is made more possible when you're surrounded by like-minded people, something that's proven to make us all feel more fulfilled. Seek out the women who understand your dreams, will champion your successes and offer encouragement as you navigate your path. Safe to say, its been a great start! Lots of engagement, interaction and new connections made already. I've had a number of comments and messages of thanks, support and positivity - its been amazing. Bringing people together is what I'm good at (even if I say so myself!) - from networking to events, to referrals and recommendations, to summits and communities.... I just love it! This is why i've been tweaking and streamlining my business - to bring more communities together, to support more women in business and to be able to help more people grow their business and network. Don't you just love it when you have an idea, and a few weeks later, hey presto, its live?! We’re striving for 50%. 50% women on corporate boards is our goal for 50/50 Women on Boards. To fuel this vision, I was invited as a Director Coach to share my boardroom journey at their recent 'Board Fundamentals' Workshop. I shared insights from my various boardroom roles- serving as a board member, presenting to boards, and having created and managed new boards. The workshop equipped aspiring women with practical knowledge along with the Do’s and Don’ts of a board member. And hearing directly from Betsy Berkhemer-Credaire made the session even more valuable. The conversation helped to: Demystify the pathways to the board room. Spotlight these women’s board-ready skills. Map out concrete steps to the board seat. If you’re new to board service or don’t know how to begin, consider these easy, first steps for your board journey: ✅ Start locally: Channel your passion, interests, or causes with a nonprofit community organization. They are always looking for board members. ✅ Know your priorities: To be an effective board member requires time, preparation, and active engagement. Get honest about what you can and cannot take on right now. ✅ Look to your industry: Trade associations or local chambers have board and committee seats. It’s a good way to get involved, gain experience, and expand your network. Or better yet, join our mission and sign up for our events. __________ What other advice would you offer? #publicaffairs #socialimpact #ShastaAdvisory
