Dynamism: The essence of being characterized by vigorous activity and progress, and embracing a dynamic, positive attitude. This week, I had the privilege of attending the FEDA Foodservice Equipment Distributors Assn Conference in Colorado Springs, CO, alongside my amazing teammates, Justin LaCrosse CFSP and Devyn Kelly, CFSP I. The event, brilliantly organized by Tracy Mulqueen and her FEDA Foodservice Equipment Distributors Assn team, drew the "who’s who" of the FE&S Industry—what an inspiring gathering! The Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs, A Dolce Resort was a fantastic venue, and we were surrounded by countless industry professionals and some truly inspiring speakers. One speaker passionately shared the top three priorities all businesses should focus on as we approach 2025: 1) Digital Transformation, 2) Relationships, and 3) Team/Talent. For #1, he emphasized the importance of a customer portal, CRM systems, e-commerce capabilities, and data analytics. He urged us to enhance process automation, especially regarding the quote-to-cash process. Business leaders need real-time data to make quick, informed decisions! When it comes to #2, he highlighted the need for “contact density” as it’s no longer enough to simply have relationships; we must be “often and always” communicating with our connections both upstream and downstream. And for #3, he advised us to surround ourselves with top talent and to continuously invest in their training and development.
