NEW PRODUCT: Insert Grades Expanded for High-Precision Grooving and Parting Tool “TetraForceCut” “TetraForceCut” is a high-precision grooving and parting tool series that adopts economical four-corner inserts. With its unique insert shape and three-point clamping system, it achieves high insert clamping rigidity and excellent cutting edge position accuracy. The series offers three types of inserts: the versatile “TCS type” with pressed-in chipbreakers, the high-efficiency “TCM type” that balances sharpness and cutting edge strength, and the “TCL type” with a sharp cutting edge for low cutting forces. These inserts provide stable machining across various work materials. In addition to the existing “AH7025” grade, the “TCS type,” “TCM type,” and “TCL type” inserts will now include the “AH8005” grade for high-speed machining with excellent wear resistance, and the “AH6235” grade for superior toughness to suppress chipping and breakage in interrupted cutting and parting applications. The “AH8005” grade combines an aluminum-rich multilayer coating with a dedicated carbide substrate that excels in wear resistance, ensuring remarkable wear resistance and stable long tool life even in high-speed machining. On the other hand, the “AH6235” grade features a high-hardness titanium-rich nano multilayer coating as its outer layer, combined with a high-toughness carbide substrate, providing stable long tool life even in interrupted cutting and parting applications. Additionally, the series introduces the new “TCG type” insert with a large rake angle and a ground chipbreaker for low cutting forces. The Cermet insert grade “NS9530” employs a special surface technology to enhance toughness with a balance of chipping, and wear resistance. Combined with the “TCG type” insert, this configuration ensures high-quality grooving with a shiny surface finish. NEW PRODUCT: “DoPent” Face Milling Cutter Series Expanded with Neutral “AJ Type” Inserts for Non-Ferrous Metals The “DoPent” series features economical double-sided pentagonal inserts with 10 cutting edges, designed for face milling operations. “DoPent” offers significant reductions in cutting force (by 30%) and radial forces (by 50%) compared to competitors, thanks to its large rake angle and optimal insert positioning. This makes it especially suitable for machining thin and low-rigidity workpieces. The series also includes the “SS-FiT” mechanism, which increases rigidity and allows for more number of insert on the cutter body without compromising body rigidity, enabling high-efficiency machining. Cutter bodies are available in both bore and shank types, with tool diameters ranging from φ32 to φ315 mm (from φ1.260” to φ12.40”), including left-hand body options for use in double-headed milling machines. The insert lineup includes six types: the general-purpose “MJ Type”, low cutting force “ML Type”, and wiper inserts. Neutral inserts are also available for use with left-hand cutter bodies. The new Neutral “AJ Type” inserts for non-ferrous metals joined this lineup. Like their right-hand counterparts, these new inserts feature ground peripheral surface and polished rake face with a mirror-like finish for sharp cutting edges. This prevents the built-up edges to the cutting edge during machining, and achieving a high-quality, glossy finish. The large rake angle and deep inclination ensure excellent chip control with both right-hand and left-hand cutter bodies. The insert grade is “KS05F”, a micro-grain cemented carbide that balances wear resistance and toughness, providing exceptional reliability and long tool life for machining aluminum, copper alloys, and other non-ferrous metals. With the addition of the new “AJ Type” inserts, the “DoPent” series will significantly reduce machining costs and improve productivity for customers across various industries, handling a wide range of materials from steel and cast iron to non-ferrous metals. NEW PRODUCT: Corner Radius Type Head Added to DrillMeister for Counterbore Holes The “DrillMeister” series is a revolutionary head exchangeable drill that combines the performance of solid drills with the convenience of indexable drills. The series offers five types of heads, including the general-purpose “DMP head,” the counterbore “DMF head,” and the high-precision “DMC head,” covering tool diameters from φ6.0 to φ25.9 mm (0.2362” to 1.0197”). The drill bodies are available in a wide range of L/D ratios from 1.5 to 12, making it suitable for various drilling applications. This time, the corner radius type head will be added to the DMF head for counterbore holes. It is ideal for machining the seating surfaces of nuts and bolt heads where a corner radius is required. The head grade, AH9130, features a PVD coating optimized for drilling, providing stable tool life across various work materials. NEW PRODUCT: Tungaloy Adds L/D=8 Bodies to Small Diameter Head Exchangeable Drill “AddMeisterDrill” “AddMeisterDrill” is a revolutionary head exchangeable drill that combines the cutting performance of solid carbide drills with the convenience of indexable drills. It supports small diameter hole machining with tool diameters ranging from ø4.0 to ø5.9 mm (0.1574” to 0.2323”). Two types of heads are available: the versatile “DMP Head” and the “DMC Head” for high-precision holes, catering to various drilling applications. The body features a special coolant hole design that ensures sufficient coolant discharge for excellent chip evacuation. Additionally, the dedicated clamping key and head are set together to prevent head loss and ensure ease of replacement. This time, the series has been expanded with L/D=8 specification bodies that support tool diameters ranging from ø4.5 to ø5.9 mm (0.1772” to 0.2323”). The shank is a ø6 mm (0.2362”) cylindrical shape, compatible with spring collet chucks and hydraulic holders. Like the existing L/D=3 and L/D=5 bodies, the new body features a specially shaped coolant hole, ensuring adequate coolant discharge, which is crucial for deep hole machining. With the addition of the L/D=8 specification bodies, economical head exchangeable tools can now be used in the typical machining range of solid drills, contributing to productivity improvements for a wider range of industries.
