🚀 Exciting New Publication in the Journal of Optics and Photonics Research! 🚀 We are pleased to announce that a groundbreaking study has been published in our journal, Journal of Optics and Photonics Research (JOPR)! 📜 Title: Spectroscopy Study of Bismuth Lithium Strontium Borate Glasses Doped with Nd3+ Ions for 1.06μm NIR Emitting Glasses 🔍 Abstract: This study investigates the synthesis and optical properties of bismuth lithium strontium borate glasses doped with Nd3+ ions. Employing advanced techniques like XRD, DSC, and UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy, the research uncovers new equations for obtaining extrinsic scattering and absorption coefficients. The findings show that these doped glasses exhibit exceptional NIR emission at 1.06μm, highlighting their potential for enhancing optical fiber amplifiers. 📊 Key Findings: Enhanced photoluminescence intensity through novel glass compositions. Significant advancements in understanding Judd-Ofelt parameters and emission spectral intensity. I’m excited to announce the publication of our new research paper titled "Sb2S3/AlGaAs-based reconfigurable metasurface for dynamic polarization and directionality control of quantum emitter emission" in RSC Advances on September 16th, 2024. This paper, co-authored with my graduate student at the time, Md. Ehsanul Karim, introduces the first-ever phase change material (PCM)-based reconfigurable metasurfaces that dynamically control the polarization and directionality of quantum emitter (QE) emissions. These two factors are key to unlocking advancements in quantum computing, communication, and chiral optics. We utilized a novel hybrid plasmon-QE coupled system to achieve precise control over the amplitude and phase of scattered radiation. Our five metasurface designs offer high efficiency and groundbreaking control, setting the stage for high-speed quantum communication and dimensional quantum processing.
