Disruption and diversification have been common terms in supply chain management over recent years. In how far are sustainability risks being addressed as corporates develop new supplier relations and strategies? From our latest stocktake we see that many companies are still in the early stages of adopting policies and programs to reduce their supplier-related reputational and regulatory risks. Only 17.2% of companies assessed in the 2023 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) have public processes for screening new suppliers for sustainability-related risks. Ensuring sustainability in our supply chain is essential to implementing Valmet’s sustainability agenda. To ensure compliance with our Sustainable Supply Chain Policy's requirements and related local and international laws, Valmet has a systematic auditing framework in place. 🔎 So far, Valmet has conducted around 400 supplier sustainability audits globally. We conduct a minimum of 40 supplier audits annually.
