LF2 & LCB are basically same Low Temperature Carbon Steel, which can be used up to -49 deg C. LF2 means forging and LCB is the equivalent Cast Version. Normally Forging version limited to 4". Above 4" Casting is much cheaper.

Body Corporate Number DPS 91535 & Ors v 3A Composites GmbH [2023] NZCA 647 is a recent Court of Appeal case decided last December 2023. This case dealt with an appeal by two building owner appellants against an overseas manufacturer who is based in Germany. The appellants claimed that the respondents cladding product, Alucobond, was defective. Consistent with both the approach taken by the Courts in Australia and broader principles of private international law, the Court concluded the focus of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 is to "provide meaningful remedies to consumers of goods supplied in New Zealand." This focus extends to overseas manufacturers. However unfortunately for the appellants in this claim, they did not fit the definition of "consumer" under the CGA nor did Alucobond fit the definition of "goods".
