🌍 Scope 3 Emissions Tracking Slowing You Down? 🌍 Corporate sustainability can be full of jargon, but here’s a quick breakdown: Scope 1: Direct emissions. Scope 2: Emissions from energy use. Scope 3: The big one—emissions across your entire supply chain. With regulations like the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), EU companies must report on all three. But Scope 3 is the toughest, especially for companies with thousands of suppliers. Mapping these emissions is slow, manual, and requires constant supplier communication. Today we released our 2023 Sustainability Report. This year’s report includes a narrative summary of our sustainability progress followed by the audited statutory sustainability report.   We are over halfway to our goal of reducing fossil-based virgin plastic in packaging compared to 2020, we invested in renewable energy in our facilities and are making steps forward in our Scope 1 emissions goals. The establishment of the Sustainability Board and our launch of bio-based products are other highlights of the year.   This year’s report demonstrates our progress and areas where we must continue to develop. With even more strict regulations coming soon from the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), we are working to align our report to these directives. TE Connectivity We are pleased that the Science Based Targets initiative #SBTi has approved TE Connectivity’s near-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction target. Our ambitious carbon-reduction goals aim for a 70+ % absolute reduction in Scope 1&2 emissions by 2030 and 30 % in Scope 3 by 2032. #sustainability
