This year's Fruit Attraction was a milestone for Agriplace. We’ve come a long way as an organization and as a team, making our debut with our very first stand. The team’s hard work paid off, with over 100 meetings booked throughout the event! 🙌 At Agriplace, we believe in growing talent from within. Trust, autonomy, and mentorship are principles for us to do so. This fair was living proof and I could not be more proud. Key takeaways from our conversations with customers and partners 🌟 - "Europe imports fruit but exports legislation." Credit to Hugo Hays for this insight. The new EU regulations like CSRD and CS3D are starting to have a significant impact on suppliers abroad, who now have to navigate increasingly complex compliance requirements. - Certification duplication & Audit overload. We’re seeing more certification overlap and an increasing number of internal audits. The need for streamlined solutions is more evident than ever—there’s a clear gap to be filled! - Impact Data: work in progress. Tracking impact data is still in its early stages for many, but there’s hope. Industry players are starting to adopt a more pragmatic approach, which is promising for the future of responsible supply chains. We’re already looking forward to Fruit Attraction 2025, building on what we’ve learned, and continuing to strengthen partnerships across the industry. In 2020, I had the honor to participate in two fantastic entrepreneurship programs at Harvard Innovation Labs and MIT, where I was inspired to push the boundaries of innovation and what’s possible. My expectations for Tropickout's future are focused on solid growth and international expansion. The feedback from partners and consumers was crucial in understanding how our products are perceived beyond the digital space. Our snacks were recognized as innovative, and niche products like jackfruit gained acceptance. We also gained valuable insights to refine product presentation and format for greater market success.
