Yesterday was #NationalInternDay! Here are the top three things I've learned as an intern at Blizzard Entertainment ❄
1. Ask questions!
When I started my internship, I was very quiet and nervous about asking for help or context. Now, I have no problem hitting up our Slack channels or turning to my desk neighbor with my 10th question of the day! Your team wants to help you succeed and learn, so don't be afraid to ask any and all questions.
2. Seek feedback
As an intern at one of the biggest gaming companies in the country, I am surrounded by incredibly talented, creative people! I have gotten so much value out of asking for feedback on my projects, portfolio, and resume. Continuously getting my work critiqued allows me to practice iterative design and constantly improve my craft.
3. Be yourself
Bringing your authentic self into the office is the best way to make meaningful connections and build a supportive network. My time at Blizzard has grown my confidence and shown me the importance of being yourself, even in a professional environment.
My internship at Blizzard has been absolutely incredibly, and I am so grateful to my team, the other interns, and the recruiters for creating such a supportive environment for me to grow and learn!
