Imagine more people actually cared…? Cared about the soft skills to help individuals gain employment! Cared to ensure underserved communities are on the right side of history during the massive technological and the skill demand shift we find ourselves in. They don’t teach you employability skills, communication skills and the abil to sell yourself in school. It’s why many talented individuals struggle with employment, especially in a fast changing market like todays! Indranil Sinha and Darja Gerova along with our partners at Better Space London organised an employability day where the staff of organisations that work in #farringdon #London We had; 1. Reverse interviews where our students on our #skillsbootcamp can ask working proffesionals any thing they want about through a career lens. 2. Mock interviews for live job roles and CV reviews 3. Content creation: Content is king, as is AI, and building ones personal brand. We formed teams of volunteers and our students for them to create a video together on the use of AI. It was a blast, till next time….. Thank you Better Space London Indranil Sinha Darja Gerova
📣🌞 We are still buzzing from yesterday (READ BELOW WHY👇 ) Better Space London x Breakthrough Social Enterprise have teamed up for the most fun and epic Employability Day, where Better Space London volunteers from diverse fields like marketing, AI, project management, and more brought their skills and expertise to help our students to gain more knowledge and confidence before their job interviews ! The event was run by our one and only Indranil Sinha with the assistance of BetterSpace community manager Gabriella Kisoi. We had so many amazing activities throughout the day and our students even teamed up with volunteers to participate in a creative contest brought by Darja Gerova (the results of which will be shared very soon ☺️🥰) 🌞The day was full of joy and productivity and we are so grateful for our partnership with Better Space London. 🙌 It is so rewarding to have the opportunity and unite our forces and contribute to the brighter future for those individuals who seek support while stepping into the world of tech. Big love to those who made this Employability Workshop fantastic : (we can’t wait for the next one ☺️ ) 💛 Sobanan Narenthiran Pratik Doshi Indranil Sinha Darja Gerova Jordan Jones 💛 Gabriella Kisoi Better Space London Lamiyah Sultan Hatidzhe Mehmed Vyvyen De-Veer Elbert Jonathan Salim 💛Our wonderful and bright students #WeAreBreakthrough #BetterSpace #EmployabilityWorkshop #BetterTogether #Unstoppable

🌟 Part of what we do at Talent Spaces is designing and facilitating career events tailored for students in Years 12 and 13. 🎓 These events allow them to interact with potential employers, gain valuable insights into diverse career paths, and start building their professional network early on. The impact is significant! Students not only get to meet employers but also develop essential employability skills. For employers, it's an opportunity to connect with traditionally hard-to-reach talent—individuals often underrepresented in their companies and who may not be familiar with their organisation. In industries like oil and gas or pharmaceuticals, it's about more than engineering, research, and science. We focus on demystifying these roles, giving students insights into the vast opportunities available. I'll say it again: If you're part of a company eager to showcase the diverse opportunities to young, aspiring talent, don't hesitate to reach out! That's what the Programmes Team excels at—connecting talent with endless possibilities! 🚀 #TalentSpaces #CareerOpportunities #DiverseCareers #YouthEngagement🌐✨

As we dive into National Careers Week 2024, I can't help but reflect on the incredible diversity of career pathways available to our pupils. From the traditional to the unconventional, there's a world of opportunities awaiting exploration! In today's rapidly evolving job market, it's essential to recognise that success doesn't always follow a linear trajectory (think Squiggly Careers!). Embracing diverse career pathways isn't just about finding a job; it's about discovering where your passion, skills, and values intersect. Whether it's exploring STEM fields, venturing into the arts, diving into entrepreneurship, or pursuing vocational trades, each pathway offers unique challenges and rewards. 🎨🔬💡 As a Careers Lead, my goal is to empower pupils to navigate these options confidently. By fostering curiosity, resilience, and adaptability, we can equip our future leaders with the tools they need to thrive in any industry. Let's celebrate National Careers Week by encouraging dreaming big, exploring boldly, and forging paths to success! 💪🚀 #NCW2024 #NationalCareersWeek #CareerExploration #FutureLeaders #DreamBig

The careers advice I got was rubbish... ...is something we often hear. It's usually from a by-gone time (I know my careers advice in school was, well, non existent, but that was, ahem, a *few* years ago). It is not relevant when we talk about the careers profession now. Of course there are still pockets of poor careers support, either through individuals and/or as a result of funding, just like every sector, we have our challenges. But it is also rammed full of BRILLIANT professionals, working tirelessly to support their clients, whatever age they are and wherever they are in their career journey. So it is VERY EXCITING to announce a new update about #CareersFest2024. The theme this year is all about longevity, of both our sector and of our clients' careers, helping them with their career management skills. And contrary to what you might think, UCAS is not simply about helping students with applying to university, they are actually also focused on supporting learners of all ages. And so at The Talent Cycle we are THRILLED that UCAS have become a key partner and one of the many exciting things that means is that 🥁 🥁 🥁 I'll be filming this year's festival live from the UCAS studio!! So lights, camera, action! So check it out online on Friday 18th Oct (it will still be recorded for those who can't make it on the day). We'll be joined virtually by some amazing speakers and thanks to UCAS and their tech, you'll also easily be able to do virtual networking with others during some optional breakout sessions and still lots more exciting things to be revealed! Still a chance to grab your ticket before they all go: https://lnkd.in/e5dwBEfv Huge thanks to Sarah Derbyshire for all your support in making this happen! #CareersFest2024 #careersincareers
