Last month, as part of a global “ERG showcase event", our studio was happy to conduct a little fair, allowing all of our team members to discover the various Employee Resource Groups available within Ubisoft, whether they are global, national or local, and the many benefits they offer (sense of belonging, support, networking, inspiration just to name a few)! At our Studio we are very proud to have created our local chapter of the Women for Equity ERG, lead by Antje Farnier, Ph.D., Laora Heintz and Linnea Bergman, but that’s not all! We are happy to support Camille LLamas as co-lead of the French LGBTQIA2S+ dedicated ERG and Mickael Veaudour as lead of the French Neurodiversity chapter. Kudos to them for their hard work and commitment to building an ever more inclusive workplace!

🟣 Celebrating Purple Tuesday: Advancing Accessibility and Inclusion 🟣 Today, on November 7th, we join the global movement that is Purple Tuesday in celebrating a shared commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. We are thrilled to witness the impact this initiative has on improving the customer experience for individuals with disabilities and their families, not just today, but 365 days a year. Purple Tuesday isn't just a one-day affair; it's a year-round commitment by organizations of all sizes and sectors to foster awareness, deepen understanding, and implement solutions that enhance accessibility in customer environments. Participating organizations pledge to make public commitments each year, ensuring that disabled customers have a more inclusive and positive experience. These commitments often involve initiating new activities or initiatives and making tangible improvements in accessibility. In 2022, Purple Tuesday's influence was nothing short of astounding, reaching 23 million people and engaging with over 6,000 organizations that made 7,000 commitments to improve accessibility. Media coverage exceeded expectations, with over 100 items across broadcast and print media, and 28 sector leaders actively contributing to the cause. With a vibrant social media presence, boasting over 40,000 interactions and engagement, the movement continues to amplify its reach. What's even more remarkable is Purple Tuesday's global impact, transcending borders and uniting people in the pursuit of accessibility and inclusion. Celebrated in five countries, including the UK, USA, UAE, Malaysia, and Pakistan, this movement is a testament to the power of collective action in making our world more accessible for all. As we celebrate Purple Tuesday, let us remember that accessibility and inclusion are not mere buzzwords; they are essential values that drive positive change. Let's continue to champion these values not just today, but every day, and work towards a world where everyone can fully participate and enjoy the benefits of inclusion. Together, we can make a difference. 💜🌍 #PurpleTuesday #Accessibility #Inclusion #DisabilityRights #GlobalImpact

Unlocking the Value of Accessibility: A Strategic Imperative for Businesses and Communities Ensuring accessibility in public and commercial spaces isn't just a moral imperative, it's a strategic investment with significant economic potential. As highlighted in a recent Globe and Mail article, the need for inclusive design is evolving to encompass a broader spectrum of challenges beyond physical mobility. With approximately 27% of Canadians reporting one or more disabilities, and nearly half experiencing or living with someone who has a physical disability, it's clear that cities and commercial spaces need to do more to prioritize accessibility. The economic benefits of accessibility are undeniable. Reasonable investments in workplace accessibility could boost GDP by $16.8 billion by 2030, while spending by Canadians with disabilities is projected to reach $316 billion in the same timeframe. Moreover, businesses that prioritize accessibility stand to capture a significant share of the consumer market, with over 60 percent of Canadians more likely to spend at companies that support individuals with disabilities. As our population ages, the importance of accessibility will only continue to grow. By investing in inclusive design now, businesses and communities can position themselves for long-term success while creating a more equitable and inclusive society for all.
