I'm looking forward to attending the "Cost-Effective and Fair Climate Change Adaptation" event this Wednesday September 18th at UCL with a great set of international speakers and discussants from across government, finance, engineering, planning, design, and civil society. I will be giving a keynote intervention on "management of adaptation at the urban level" drawing on examples from KDI and partner's work with municipal, civil society, and community partners in the US, Kenya, Tanzania, and Mexico on innovative technical and financing solutions for co-designing cost-effective and equitable green infrastructure projects. Looking forward to the facilitation of our inspiring trio of hosts Professor Priti Parikh FICE Christopher Hurst Mark Pelling. Thanks to UCL Department of Risk and Disaster Reduction (RDR), The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction UCL and the European Investment Bank (EIB) for convening this important session.
On 18 September, join us for a hybrid event on deploying nature-based solutions and green infrastructure in urban areas. Part of the Urban Climate Change Adaptation Series, the event is jointly organised with The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction UCL and European Investment Bank (EIB) to convene academic researchers and senior policy actors focused on the design, financing and delivery of climate change adaptation in cities. Please note this event is first-come, first-served and has limited capacity. Hosts: Professor Priti Parikh FICE, Mark Pelling and Christopher Hurst.
