I was fortunate enough to learn a bit from Ari Weiss during a Strategy Finishing School workshop back in December. Not his words, but my takeaway: Strategists need to do the difficult work of keeping it simple. The more creative we try to be in our words and delivery, the more we hurt the creative process and shrink what's possible. #strategy #creativestrategy
Ari Weiss has revealed the name and branding of his new independent agency—Quality Experience—and recruited top Droga5 and McCann execs for its leadership team.

Thanks for the feature UCLA Anderson School of Management. Key takeaways from sharing my story: 1) There is power in relationships- don't be afraid to ask for time, but also be sure to give your own. 2) Reputation and integrity are important traits. The door you want to go through may not open for you when you want it to, but do great work and good things come full circle. 3) Always be thinking in the next. https://lnkd.in/gPGiwF2p

First week in the books as Chief Operating Officer at Superior Sports. I have already learned so much! The sports and entertainment agency industry is fast-paced, dynamic, and full of challenges—precisely what drew me to this position. As COO, I understand the immense responsibility of balancing strategy, operations, and innovation to ensure that we not only meet the demands of today but also anticipate the boundless opportunities of tomorrow. There’s no doubt that the road ahead will present its fair share of challenges, from navigating evolving NIL market trends and policy, to staying ahead of the competition. However, it’s these very challenges that push us to innovate and grow. I am incredibly excited about the future of Superior Sports and the talented team I have the privilege to work with. Together, we’re going to elevate our clients, strengthen our partnerships, and continue building a legacy in the sports and entertainment world. Here’s to new beginnings, bold moves, and a future filled with success! #Leadership #COO #SportsAndEntertainment #Teamwork #Innovation

“Next Man Up”, a concept iconic in sports, now resonates within OSG. A deep bench on which everyone is prepared to play and can enter any game situation without being overwhelmed by the moment – that is the Next Man Up ethos. Translating that organizational concept into the realm of business ought to be an obvious aspiration. Often easier said than done, however. Thus, it was with a mixture of sadness and anticipation that OSG earlier this week announced the retirement of three of its senior managers. COO Patrick O’Halloran, CAO Damon Mote, and CFO Dick Trueblood will be moving on in the weeks ahead, leaving behind a legacy of nearly 50 years of cumulative experience at OSG. No one has contributed more to sustained excellence at OSG than these three stalwarts. Sticking with the sports metaphor, not only were these three gentlemen key components of the starting lineup, but they were also perennial all stars. Big shoes to fill, indeed. And so, in the spirit of Next Person Up – contemporized to recognize that not only men are capable to fill empty roster spots – nearly a dozen new positions and promotions triggered by the senior management departures have been filled by existing OSG personnel. New Vice Presidents at OSG include Jerry Kachler and Deanna Marshall. Also stepping into more senior roles are Matt Holland, Kerri Bancroft, Andrew McNamara, Matt DeBoer and Gaylyn Wheaton. As well, in the next of a continuing series of steps underpinning the development of OSG’s carbon management business, Jeff Williams has been named as President of Aptamus, LLC with Kent Merrill and Eric Schreiber joining Jeff as Vice Presidents at Aptamus. And in one final move which reflects the benefits of now having a deeper bench of talent to draw from within the Saltchuk family of businesses, Tim Dipietropolo, currently filling a senior role at Tropical Shipping, will join OSG as President and Chief Operation Officer next month. Well done to the eleven new additions to OSG’s “starting line-up” who will shape the future landscape of the organization. May they all aspire to become future all stars in their own roles. #OSG #personnel #promotions
