With each hammered nail and board placed, a home emerges—a sanctuary from life's storms. For Habitat Homeowners, it's more than shelter; it's stability, dignity, and hope. Affordable housing isn't just about walls and roofs; it's the cornerstone of thriving communities. It fosters resilience, fosters dreams, and cultivates a collective spirit of equity and progress. Through Habitat for Humanity, our community weaves a tapestry of compassion, lifting families toward brighter horizons. Over 30 years of impact. 131 homes built. Countless lives transformed. But the need for affordable housing is still great. With your support, we will continue building better futures, home by home. Because Home Matters!

Reposting this for 2 reasons: 1) If you love the Sierra Nevada🏔️, it’s important to know how much good work is happening to conserve this globally unique mountain range. Thanks to Sierra Nevada Conservancy and so many others.🙌🏽 2) This is a great way to share progress!💡The story map is short, clear and to-the-point. A great example of moving beyond long pages of reports. Kudos Sierra Nevada Conservancy!

Lifting the work that has gone into reshaping a clear focus in Philly for land justice, power to the people, and building a commons of, for, and by the community. #socialimpact #environmentaljustice #communityhealth
Friends, just want to lift up Neighborhood Land Power Project, on whose board I serve. Formerly Urban Tree Connection, NLPP came to its new name through thoughtful conversations and consensus building with neighbors, partners, staff, and board. NLPP is a name that reflects the movement building that's been going on for a while now. It's about land justice, power to the people, and building a commons of, for, and by the community. Check out the new site (in development) and share the good news. https://lnkd.in/ebSdVMzM

As a business leader and neighbor, our decisions are shaped by guiding principles that we call the JKLH Creed. We believe in: ✳ Demonstrating the same care and respect to all communities that we touch as we do across our parent company JK Moving Services and sister company CapRelo. ✳The need for balance between preserving area lands for future generations and commercial development to support area economic growth. ✳Giving back, so we put approximately 44 acres into conservation easement for every 1 acre we develop commercially. ✳Smart development that benefits the area community in terms of jobs and tax revenue. ✳Demonstrating our commitment to the environment by preserving historically and environmentally important sites through conservation easement. ✳Committing time to work with the communities to listen to their wants and needs. ✳Partnering to clean up the environment for the community.
