"Conservation" is a really broad term... Here's what conservation means to our co-founder, Anna Wentsch: 🌱 The environmental factor: protecting existing habitat, improving it and ultimately connecting it so our native species can thrive in a healthy home. 🧍 The people factor: taking positive action, building connections and raising awareness. It doesn't need to be complex, and you don't need to be a big name out in the bush to get involved. For example, it could be as simple as picking up rubbish on your local beach so that the trash doesn't kill our seabirds. So, what does conservation mean to you?

Freshwater is the lifeblood of our planet, and freshwater ecosystems connect people with the resources they need to thrive. But when rivers, lakes and wetlands are degraded, their ability to provide reliable supplies of clean water — and to support the species on which millions of people depend — is threatened. “I am water. To humans, I am simply just there. I am something they just take for granted. But there is only so much of me and more & more of them every single day.” We work to protect and restore the freshwater ecosystems around the world that supply critical services to the people who depend on them most. Grounded in sound science, our projects offer innovative solutions that can serve as models for conservation anywhere on Earth. Given the link between nature and human well-being, we build bridges between conservation and development, providing leaders at all levels with the information they need to understand the true value of nature’s benefits.
