The five chapters of The Pact for the Furure covers: -Sustainable development and financing for development; - International peace and security; - Science, technology and innovation and digital cooperation; - Youth and future generations; - Transforming global governance.

So, in essence, since digital trust is an essential component of GDC, there is now a common agreement on cybersecurity cooperation through the endorsement of the GDC. By implication, there's a great future for the stability of our internet through this global cooperation. Today is a major historical victory for children! The Pact for the Future has been adopted by member countries at UN Headquarters. Children were not present in the original papers but are now mentioned 33 times in the final document.👏 #PactForTheFuture #ForEveryChild

#ClimateWeekNYC and #UNGA has kicked off on a high note. On Sunday, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the "Pact for the Future". This Pact includes 56 actions on issues such as eradicating poverty, mitigating climate change and achieving gender equality. It is designed to mobilise global efforts toward achieving the #SDGs and fostering a more equitable and #sustainable world. I’m proud that many of IDH’s governmental partners have signed onto this pact, reinforcing a shared commitment to building a more inclusive, resilient  and equitable future. The "Pact for the Future" recognises that the challenges the world faces are interconnected and require a unified response from all stakeholders. At IDH, we are committed to advancing the goals outlined in this pact, including the eradication of poverty, the urgent need to close the financing gap that disproportionately affects developing countries, and delivering on Paris #climate goals. Yesterday, I have the privilege of participating in the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit. I’m very excited about one session specifically, focused on advancing the #livingwage agenda. Here we unpacked the critical role that governments, businesses, investors and civil society must play in breaking down barriers to fair wages and fostering an environment where workers are justly compensated. The current market system is not conducive, hence we need bold leadership, working together, policies and regulations to create a level playing field and make sure living wage and other critical interventions can be fully integrated in business models. The systemic and challenges ahead are significant, but with the momentum from the decision of the #ILO’s Governing Body on estimating and operationalizing living wages, and on engaging with living wage initiatives, and the collaboration we are fostering today, I am optimistic.
