It's one of the reasons, when I worked with organisations, that one of my boundaries was their referred employee rang me (rather than me ringing them as was sometimes suggested). The referred employees who took the action to ring me engaged their intention to commit and do the work which helped achieve great outcomes. ❤️ #midlife #midlifewomen #rediscovered #psyhotherapy #coaching #intention #networking

I love networking!! Not just because of the fab people you meet and get to do business with but the fact that I can still learn something ground breaking after 30 years in business. Yesterday was one of those meetings #vibrantconnections in a breakout room with three other fabulous business women Kate Porter - The Midlife Metamorphosis Coach Carolyn Cowperthwaite Libby Berg I realised that it isn't the problem that defines my ideal client but their intention to solve it! Thanks Ladies, this makes so much sense on so many different levels. No wonder I booked my ticket to the end of year extravaganza, I want to meet these women in person. Enfys Maloney 🎉

Stop treating networking like a coffee date Start treating it as a strategic alliance-building opportunity. I had a lightbulb moment recently about women and networking 💡 How often does your conversation default to kids, holidays, and recipes? Don't get me wrong – I love a good conversation about life. But here's the uncomfortable truth I've noticed: While men are forming alliances, women swapping vacation stories. Ready for some real talk on women and networking? *Update: I've had so many messages that I haven't had a chance to reply to you all yet! I will send you all the info soon by DM, but I think I'm now over-subscribed. If only December had 100 days. However, I plan to publish a directory of midlife women business owners in the new year, so even if the advent calendar is full up, something else is coming ... 📣 Call for participants I'm publishing an Alternative Advent Calendar this year, featuring 25 midlife women business owners every day in December. It'll appear right here on LinkedIn and also on my Substack, Ink Tank. Want to feature in it? If you're a midlife woman (roughly 40+) who runs your own business/consultancy, then please get in touch if you'd like to be featured (free publicity 😊) Just DM me and I'll send you the info. If we're not connected already, comment below so I can accept your message.

I am grateful for Wednesday Women's dedication to highlighting women's voices! Thank you for allowing me to share mine Leslie Greenwood and Melissa Moody 🍵! 🙏 The era of linear and traditional career paths is a thing of the past and (actually) was never a thing for most women and diverse professionals. Skills-first hiring takes a person's complete set of skills into account. Not only does it broaden your talent pool but skills-first hires are likelier to get promoted and have higher retention. What do you have to lose? Stop getting into salary wars with other companies because the algorithms gave everyone the same small pool of people. Start hiring using a skills-first approach.
“Create a network and never lose it! Find a small group of professional women where hard truths can be shared, difficult advice given, and connections made - these are the women that you want talking about you behind your back.” 🙌 This advice comes from our newest WW feature, Delphine Carter, an entrepreneur, tech leader, speaker, diversity champion, and passionate advocate for working mothers and caregivers. Delphine is the Founder and CEO of Boulo Solutions, a career matching service that helps women stay in and return to the workforce. “I am a problem solver at heart and founded Boulo to help provide a path for mothers to succeed in the workforce.” ✨ She also proudly serves on the Board for Innovate Birmingham, is a Fellow for the Women’s Foundation of Alabama, an annual supporter of Childcare Resources of Alabama, and volunteers at First Light. She was recently named Top Birmingham Woman and nominated for CEO of the Year by the Birmingham Business Journal. ⭐️Follow Delphine and learn more below. ___________________ We can do what we do because we’re supported by Commsor 🦕 - where business and personal success is created by a focus on “go-to-network” and relationship-driven growth.
