📚 The latest UIS Data release has shown that measuring and reporting SDG 4.1.1a, the proportion of children in grades 2/3 achieving at least a minimum proficiency level in reading and mathematics, faces significant challenges, with few countries measuring and reporting on this indicator. The UNESCO Institute for Statistics has been developing frameworks and guidelines for #SDG indicator 4.1.1a since 2016, defining the MPL in 2018 and introducing the Global Proficiency Framework (GPF).
