🇫🇮Former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin spoke in Norway for foreign affairs the evening before NHO's Annual Conference. She explained the importance of strategic independence and leadership through the pandemic and the situation in Ukraine. 🏹She demonstrated her stance as an "optimist" who learns from facing reality. 🌝"I'm an optimist in a way that if we wake up and see the world as ugly as it is today and all the colors that it has, not only the colors that we want to see but see everything, then we can also change." 🌷"We can learn, and we can do better. But if we don't want to face the past and the reality that the world is today, then we are not better." More details in the article ✨ https://lnkd.in/dAe4rGeG Yahoo! French President Emmanuel Macron delivered one of the grand reflections and visions of our time on our common future as Europeans during his official visit to Germany this week. He called for: 💡 An enduring freedom and peace in an autonomous Europe based on the ability to defend ourselves against rival and enemy powers through a strong defense industry in Europe. We stand by Ukraine, fighting for their and our freedom. 💡Strong, green European economy to ensure we continue to be prosperous as a region, independent and focusing especially on artificial intelligence investments. We need to work together and double our efforts. 💡A Europe with less bureaucracy and rules, a Europe in which everyone benefits with special focus on less developed regions. 💡A Europe based on shared values, on freedom, friendship, justice, unity, cultural diversity, brotherhood. Not a supermarket for populists that want to take the money but not the free press or academic freedom. 💡A Europe that stands for humanism and democracy, where we treasure debate based on reason, facts and interests. Macron warns for online filter bubbles, where only similar opinions are repeated and people miss the opportunity to shape their views by learning from others. Don’t forget to vote next week! #europeanelections #fêtedeleurope #dresden #steinmeier #macron #europe

MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN. Providing personal freedom, security and prosperity for the people is the duty of any political leadership. Free people in a prosperous and secure environment are what make a country or a region great. This - combined with avoiding a widespread “europessimism” - is what Hungary means with its motto “Make Europe Great Again.” For the six months from July 1 onward, Hungary will hold the presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Central European country will set the agenda for the bloc’s priorities and chair meetings throughout this period. While premature praise is not warranted, we should, however, recognize that the Hungarian motto of restoring greatness – ensuring freedom, prosperity and security for the people of Europe through hands-on measures amid the old continent’s declining global significance – is more than justified. https://lnkd.in/dhmcX3CD #europeanunion #hungary #presidency #makeeuropegreatagain.

List of final documents of President Xi Jinping's state visit to #Serbia. Ergo, #Beijing does not have friendly states, but satellite states. Serbia has definitely entered its orbit. Also, at a press conference with Serbian President Vucic, Xi Jinping announced China's first six initiatives to support the building of the China-Serbia community of destiny in the new era. This is a defeat for the EU, which formally began negotiations for Serbia's accession in 2014. Read more on #ExtremaRatio https://lnkd.in/dnEMbZMq

'On his first visit to Europe in five years, the Chinese president, Xi Jinping, appears intent on seizing opportunities to loosen the continent’s bonds with the United States and forge a world freed of American dominance. The Chinese leader has chosen three countries to visit — France, Serbia and Hungary — that all, to a greater or lesser degree, look askance at America’s postwar ordering of the world, see China as a necessary counterweight and are eager to bolster economic ties. At a time of tensions with much of Europe — over China’s “no limits” embrace of Russia despite the war in Ukraine, its surveillance state and its apparent espionage activities that led to the recent arrest in Germany of four people — Mr. Xi, who arrived in France on Sunday, wants to demonstrate China’s growing influence on the continent and pursue a pragmatic rapprochement.' https://lnkd.in/g2dxPpYk
