Infrastructure work is zero in Karnataka no matter who is in power. Government can't repair broken roads but aiming to build sky deck because there is more scope for corruption in such projects. One example is Gunjur Road connecting Sarjapur road with Whitefield. Same story as in the video.

In a hilarious twist, Yamaraja is hosting a long jump #competition for the deceased in #Udupi, #Karnataka! This satirical take highlights the ongoing apathy in our #governance. While we celebrate our highways like they belong in #America, our city roads remain in disrepair. #Politicians spend more time blaming each other than taking action. It's disheartening to think that the #leaders we get often reflect the choices we make at the #ballotbox. Many of us vote based on caste or for short-term gains, while only a few, like our armed forces, prioritize the #nation. What are your thoughts on this? #Leadership #Governance #India #Bharat #CivicResponsibility #SocialCommentary #HarishTrivedi #ThursdayThoughts

My Story on “Decisiveness”: In a highly anticipated match against, US Catanzaro, our team, Cremonese was eager to secure a crucial victory. The stakes were high, and every player knew the importance of this game. As the team captain, I felt the weight of responsibility on my shoulders, knowing that my actions would set the tone for our performance. The first half of the game was intense, with both teams fighting hard for control. It was clear that we needed a strategic change to break the deadlock. As we huddled together, I noticed the fatigue and frustration on my teammates' faces. This was the moment that required a decisive action. Drawing on my understanding of our team's strengths and the weaknesses we had observed in opponents defense, I proposed a new strategy. I urged our midfielders to push higher up the field, applying pressure on their defenders and creating more opportunities for us upfront. I also repositioned myself to exploit gaps in their backline. As the second half began, we executed the new plan with precision. Just ten minutes in, I seized a moment of hesitation from one of their defenders, intercepting a pass and driving the ball into the net. With renewed energy, we continued to dominate possession. I scored my second goal with a well-timed run, meeting a cross from our winger and volleying it past their goalkeeper. The team’s confidence grew with each passing minute. Despite the opponent efforts to regroup, we maintained our aggressive stance. In the final minutes of the game, I capitalized on a fast break, sprinting past their exhausted defense and slotting the ball home for my fourth goal. As the final whistle blew, we celebrated a massive victory. My decisiveness in altering our strategy had paid off spectacularly. The experience highlighted the importance of clear thinking and confident decision-making, not just in football, but in every aspect of life. This match became a defining moment in my career, showcasing how taking bold actions at critical times can lead to extraordinary results. #Leadership #Team #Management #Results #Motivation Link: https://lnkd.in/erYa6_Re

Deal Shaper, Sales Leader, Entrepreneur, Consultant in high impact sales performance. Global Supply Chain Experience
It is clear that Aung San Suu Kyi believes deeply that justice is the route to peace. Her own legacy has been tarnished by her inability to speak out against the military over persecutions whilst she was the elected leader. We need to reflect continuously that words are deemed meaningless without actions to back them up, and this quote surely reflects the sentiment. As #businessleaders typically we do not face the absolute challenge of justice and peace, however we face parallels in both having and living out clear organisational values and the holding ourselves and our teams accountable for delivering them - walking the talk. For #salesleaders we are often further removed from 'peace' decisions however we need to ensure what we promise comes to fruition for our customers. We know that words engage emotions and reflect the boundaries of our values. In leading and facilitation deal engagements it is incumbent on us to inspire others, with integrity, to deliver a vision that creates significant value for all. Today let's reflect on the words shared here, let's ensure our teams can work well together and we hold ourselves and our colleagues to deliver on our promises. Find a way of measuring and working through this. #aungsansuukyi #inspirationalleader #positivemindset

Investment and Statistical lessons from Glenn Maxwell's innings! Yesterday, we witnessed an extraordinary display of batting from Glenn Maxwell. It was an innings that defied logic, reason, probabilities and expectations. He showed tremendous grit, resilience and fortitude as he whipped the Afghanistan bowlers all around the park (That too on one leg). 3-sigma event In statistics, we have a concept called as a '3-sigma event'. Events which have a probability of less than 1%. These events don't happen most of the time, but when they do happen they create a great and unexpected outcome. Maxwell's innings was certainly a 3-sigma event. Last time such a thing happened in ICC Cricket World cups was way back in 1983, when our own Kapil Dev scored a miraculous 175* to win an impossible game for India. When these events happen, those occasions tend to be well remembered by everyone involved. In fact, many people actually remember where they were and what they were doing when such events happened. Some examples of these events in the Indian context are 1) COVID pandemic 2) Terrorist attacks of 26/11. Investment lessons Financial markets too have these '3-sigma events', however many times people forget about them quickly. Any unpredictable surprise can cause your investments to lose their value in a fraction of a second. Take the example of 'Blue jet healthcare'. This company was listed in the Indian stock markets in the last week. A few days ago there was big blast in the company's plant that killed many workers. (It was not an impossible event, but it was a remotely probable risk, which materialized). We still don't know about the extent of the damage and the potential losses to the company. Hence, the stock has not fallen much from its IPO price, but if there is a material damage to the plant, then the stock may lose a significant portion of its value. Hence, we must always be properly diversified to make sure that our investments will not get seriously affected due to such one-time improbable events. As for Afghanistan this '3-sigma event' may well have materially ended their prospects of going into the semi finals as Pakistan and New Zealand have much better Net run rates than them. #investing #statistics #probability #threesigma #iccworldcup2023 #icccwc #australia #glennmaxwell #afghanistan #semifinals #cricket #india #kapildev #money https://lnkd.in/dzvWzEu5
