Now that your new home has closed your home ownership journey is just beginning! My job as your lender really has just started as you begin to pay down your mortgage and your home appreciates. It’s my job to make sure you are leveraging your equity and mortgage in a way that will get you the highest return on your investment.
I do this in a few ways. First, I pay for a subscription to Homebot for all of my new homeowner clients. This report will be emailed to you monthly and.shows how much you owe on your mortgage; your rate; home value and how many years you have left to pay on your loan. It has tools to help decide whether turning it into a rental property or adding an ADU, makes sense or if leveraging your equity to pay off debt or make home improvements could make sense too.
In addition, you are now also part of my rate alert system! As rates drop I’ll reach out to schedule a time to review whether it benefits you to refinance or if waiting for a larger drop would benefit you more.
Last, but certainly not least, you’ll be added to our annual real estate and money review list.
This means every year we’ll review your mortgage, liabilities, assets, and investments to be sure your money is always stored in the best place possible to get the highest return; hedge against inflation and to keep you as safe as possible during a recession.
