Social media contests can be a great way to engage audiences on Facebook and Instagram. Compared to regular posts, contests can significantly boost engagement. A 2020 report from Tailwind showed Instagram contests receive 3.5 times more likes and 64 times more comments than regular posts. Should those results hold for us, it will translate into increased brand awareness and more people seeing and interacting with United Through Reading's mission of fostering literacy and emotional bonding. With that in mind, in partnership with Dollar General Literacy Foundation, we launched our first contest yesterday, #UTRBingo. By encouraging our followers to participate in this reading challenge using our branded hashtag, we hope they connect over shared book recommendations and cultivate a sense of belonging among military families. We hope you will participate and share this contest among your friends, family and colleagues. We’ve curated a list of book recommendations to help fill in the Bingo squares, and great prizes are up for grabs. In addition to being a fun and interactive way to boost our engagement and grow our audience, we want this contest to be a way to strengthen the United Through Reading community further, all while promoting the joy of reading aloud together! The complete rules and printer-friendly Bingo card are available at https://lnkd.in/gnhnqkS6. #socialmediamarketing #engageyouraudience
