Social media contests can be a great way to engage audiences on Facebook and Instagram. Compared to regular posts, contests can significantly boost engagement. A 2020 report from Tailwind showed Instagram contests receive 3.5 times more likes and 64 times more comments than regular posts. Should those results hold for us, it will translate into increased brand awareness and more people seeing and interacting with United Through Reading's mission of fostering literacy and emotional bonding. With that in mind, in partnership with Dollar General Literacy Foundation, we launched our first contest yesterday, #UTRBingo. By encouraging our followers to participate in this reading challenge using our branded hashtag, we hope they connect over shared book recommendations and cultivate a sense of belonging among military families. We hope you will participate and share this contest among your friends, family and colleagues. We’ve curated a list of book recommendations to help fill in the Bingo squares, and great prizes are up for grabs. In addition to being a fun and interactive way to boost our engagement and grow our audience, we want this contest to be a way to strengthen the United Through Reading community further, all while promoting the joy of reading aloud together! The complete rules and printer-friendly Bingo card are available at https://lnkd.in/gnhnqkS6. #socialmediamarketing #engageyouraudience

What I learned from posting on Instagram for 3 months consistently… 👀 1️⃣Build up your content bank. This is going to make creating reels SO much easier! Take videos of you doing different things and create a library of B-roll videos you can use anywhere) 2️⃣ You need 3 hooks in each reel. A strong text hook (to stop the scroll), a visual hook (movement or wearing a bright color), and a hook in the caption to get someone to keep reading + increase watch time! 3️⃣ Build community. Respond to comments, reply to DM’s, post on your story! Don’t forget to nurture your audience as you’re posting + growing. Follow for more tips on how you can grow your brand on social media!

When we talk about social media for vet practices, naturally, we think about the content we're putting on the pages. But did you know that managing your community effectively across all the social media channels you use is just as important as the messages you're putting out there? 📈 By managing your community effectively, you can organically grow your engagement and reach 👀 For each person who engages with your post, up to 200 of their friends may be shown your content through Facebook’s algorithm 👍 Interact with every post – ‘react’ (like, love, laugh etc.) and comment where appropriate 💕 By making your community feel valued, they are more likely to repeat engagement with your content in the future – helping to constantly grow your audience 🗣 Having a two-way conversation will make you more approachable and build your bond with your clients 💪 Remember: this person has chosen to interact with you in this way for a reason. It may not always be possible to pick up the phone. They may not be comfortable in doing so. The more you can answer their queries in the format they’re most comfortable with, the stronger your relationship will become. Don't forget - we're only the click of a mouse away if you need help with your community management strategy! #EmBark #SocialMedia #CommunityManagement

I just try to do fun, cool stuff every day. Developing people and organisations through strategy, culture and marketing; and a large helping of international event production. MD at Jump + Director at Jumpthink.
The key to succeeding on social media? STOP YOUR AUDIENCE SCROLLING! When Warwickshire Police came to Jump Media Group and asked how they could run a marketing campaign to support the prevention of low-level antisocial behaviour, we took this approach: Research: We looked at previous campaigns and evidence for this user group, and spoke to subject matter expert Laura Knight at the Youth Endowment Fund. We also delved deeper into the interests of the user group, and where they spend their time online. Based on those answers: We decided that TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels were the most suitable platforms. To engage the audience you need to STOP THEM SCROLLING, so we used video game animation to peak their interest. We then used this platform and scenario to encourage teenagers to question their choices and behaviours, then self-reflect… based on research that uncovered that telling teenagers what to do doesn’t work and has a negative effect. The end result? See for yourself👇
