In our latest blog, Huda, a Camden Giving panelist, shares her experience of helping to decide where funding should go. Instead of decisions being made by distant experts or wealthy donors, local residents like Huda choose how the money is used. This ensures that funding supports projects that directly address Camden’s most urgent needs. Discover how involving residents in decision-making leads to more impactful and relevant community projects by reading the full blog! 👇 https://ow.ly/wMZp50SWAij

In 2023, The Nonprofit Vote created 5️⃣ policy priorities to support Alberta’s nonprofit sector based on the past few years of our State of the Sector reports. We have made progress on 3️⃣ of those priorities (a workforce strategy, better data collection, a door to government) and now we are focussing on appropriate funding. We think we’ll get further if we get more specific about our funding priorities and we need your help to do so. Share what your funding priorities are in this short survey and we’ll share the findings with funders, government, and other stakeholders and use it to shape our future shared advocacy efforts.
