In 2022, Ocean Cleanup, an organization dedicated to cleaning the oceans of plastic pollution, applied a simulation of its largest project: a bag named Jenny. In 2023, an 800-meter-long bag was released into the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Real photos from the project confirmed that the simulation was a very accurate representation of the bag’s actual operation.   The Jenny bag project is an excellent example of using computer simulation. In the past, a project had to start in the designer’s mind, who then transferred it to paper. 3D systems began to replace classical solutions at the beginning of the century. Today, Digital Twin technology is becoming increasingly popular, which not only illustrates the appearance but also simulates the physical, mechanical, electrical, even chemical, interactions of an object or process.
