Today, The Aotearoa Circle, with support from PwC New Zealand and AGMARDT (The Agricultural and Marketing Research and Development Trust) (The Agricultural and Marketing Research and Development Trust) have released the report: Modern Genetic Technology: Applications in Aotearoa Food and Fibre Production This report has been prepared to raise awareness of possible futures for modern genetic technologies, or biotechnology in New Zealand. It investigates the possible application of genetic technology in relation to the New Zealand food and fibre system, looking at the associated environmental impacts and risks. The report includes several case studies, selected to show a range of different technologies across different production systems. It does not provide recommendations – this report is about what we could do, not what we should do in Aotearoa. Click here to read the report: https://lnkd.in/gZS4dnG6

📣Biotechnology Mapping Has Begun 👉First meetings between the project partners to define mapping methods in their respective regions for biotechnologies applicable to the agri-food sector. 👉This activity, part of the BioTech2Agri project funded by the Italy-Slovenia Program 2021-2027, is crucial in preparing the support that will be offered to companies in 2025. The project aims to create a service package for businesses, designed to assess the technical feasibility and economic sustainability of development paths based on the use of biotechnologies in various sectors (food, livestock, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, etc.). 👉Additionally, a series of cross-border events will be organized to engage local stakeholders and explore timely topics, such as biotechnology, a field rich in potential but still underexplored. 👉BioTech2Agri, launched in April 2024, is a project funded by the Italy-Slovenia Program 2021-2027, led by the Regijska razvojna agencija ROD Ajdovščina, with the participation of: Venetian Cluster, Znanstveno-raziskovalno središče Koper, Fondazione Agrifood & Bioeconomy FVG, Informest – Center for Services and Documentation for International Economic Cooperation, and Primorski tehnološki park #biotech2agri #interregitaslo

Have you heard of Frenzy? This unique enzyme produced by beneficial bacteria is scientifically proven to positively affect mitochondria, which are responsible for producing energy within cells. By removing and concentrating this enzyme, Frenzy has been shown to increase plant response and benefit, as well as improve tank mix compatibilities. This biotechnology helps plants withstand and recover from stress, while also boosting nutrient efficiency. Frenzy is especially effective under heat and drought stress in both row crops and specialty crop production. Give your plants the support they need with Frenzy!
