🎵 TAKE IT EASY 🎵
EVERYTHING worth doing is hard before it is easy.
⭐ I homeschooled both my kids through high school. 19 years of homeschooling total. Was it easy? Heck no! Was it worth it? Absolutely!
⭐I returned to dance (ballet, tap, clogging) after I was married and had kids. Was it easy? Um, no. LOL Ballet is my first love when it comes to dance, clogging I found somewhat easy because it has a rhythm I can relate to. Tap does not come easily to me. At all. But I found it engaging because it challenged me.
⭐I entered Grad School 20 years after I graduated with my Bachelors of Science degree. Was that easy? Are you kidding? I literally had to look up about every fourth word just to figure out what the professor and other students were talking about! Plus, even though it was only one class, that class literally took about 20 hours a week to get all the assignments and reading done. And I was homeschooling!
✅ I'm not sure I can say that homeschooling every became easy or easier for me but I learned to go with the natural flow that ours had. And I did enjoy the flexible schedule and amazing field trips!
✅ I'm glad I returned to dance. It was hard work for sure, but did get easier. Especially when I decided to solely focus on ballet. I put in the hours and the work, and the hard stuff became easier...until I went en pointe at the age of 45! But that's another story for another day.
✅ Despite the grueling schedule of Grad School, I LOVED it! I loved the subject matter. Unfortunately, the stress of everything (life, school, homeschooling, worry, etc) took me out medically and then financially, so I had to withdraw. Will I go back? Maybe. But I'd want to go back to the same subject matter and that's not my focus right now.
All this to say, don't be afraid of the hard stuff. Don't be afraid of the unknown. I've heard this quote more than once: "If you want to do something, say yes, and then figure it out along the way." Don't let your dreams continue to elude you because you don't know how it's going to work out. EVERYthing is hard before it becomes easy.
