Moving from Policies to Ecosystems: A New Approach for MSMEs in India Author: Lt Gen Jastej Singh Matharu (Retd) The article emphasizes a shift from traditional policy-driven approaches to creating enabling #ecosystems for MSMEs in India. Policies often impose restrictive criteria that stifle innovation and limit #competition. In contrast, ecosystem-based platforms like ONDC and GeM provide inclusive networks where businesses, regardless of size, can compete freely. This approach fosters #innovation, improves #quality, and drives better #pricing. By focusing on building ecosystems instead of #micromanaging through #policies, India can unlock the true potential of #MSMEs, creating a more dynamic and resilient #economy where the best #ideas thrive. https://lnkd.in/gbKKjEQf

As India accelerates its transition to electric vehicles (EVs), the search for efficient energy storage solutions intensifies. Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) are emerging as a viable alternative to lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) globally. Let's assess their potential in India: ➡Abundant Resources: India's vast coastline provides an ample supply of sodium from sea salt, offering cost advantages over lithium. ➡Cost Efficiency: SIBs promise reduced manufacturing expenses, crucial for India's price-sensitive EV market. ➡Safety: Lower dendrite formation in SIBs enhances safety, vital for India's diverse climates and terrain. ➡Storage and Transport: SIBs can be stored and transported at zero voltage, simplifying logistics and ensuring safer handling. Although, the challenges remain: ➡Energy Density: SIBs currently lag behind LIBs due to their larger atomic size, though ongoing research aims to address this limitation. ➡Learning Curve: India must navigate a learning curve in SIB technology, similar to LIBs, but strategic investments in R&D can expedite progress. India's pursuit of energy independence and sustainable mobility necessitates a diversified approach. While LIBs remain dominant, investing in SIB R&D is strategic, offering cost efficiency, safety, and leveraging abundant domestic resources. What do you think? #ElectricVehicles #SustainableMobility #SodiumIonBatteries

5moReduction of energy consumption by buildings is critical to preventing Global Warming and reducing environmental degradation, especially in India where the majority of electricity is produced by coal plants. Looking forward to working with urbs in implementation of CAAS in our projects to achieve real Net-Zero targets.
